We recently connected with Floyd Hope Jr and have shared our conversation below.
Floyd, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been one of the most interesting investments you’ve made – and did you win or lose? (Note, these responses are only intended as entertainment and shouldn’t be construed as investment advice)
“Honestly, investing in myself — therapy, books, and experiences that helped me grow emotionally and mentally. That’s been the most valuable return.” Especially being a podcaster, it has given me an open mind to understand people opinions

Floyd, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I call myself an introvert, not that I’m shy, I’m just comfortable with being to myself. How I got into podcasting over 5 years ago was that I wanted to express myself on a platform that I felt others like myself could relate to. I’m proud it has introduced me to people I normally wouldn’t have met. From therapist, entrepreneurs, city officials, police, community activists and etc all have been on my podcast and shared experiences and insights about their profession

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
How I built my audience was just by being normal self, knowing who I was, what made me think, laugh and even relate to. “One day, I posted something super real — not polished, just honest — and it blew up. That’s when I realized people connect more with authenticity than perfection.”

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Honestly? The freedom to be weird and get paid for it. LOL but in honesty, It’s knowing that something I created can make someone feel seen, understood, or inspired. That connection, even with strangers is the most rewarding part.
