We were lucky to catch up with Jenny Parseghian recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jenny, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later
If I could go back in time I definitely wish the idea of starting a travel business had come to me sooner. I spent over 15 years working in education and while I was grateful for the work I found myself constantly wondering, What else could I be doing? The job had become so routine that I could do it with my eyes closed. I didn’t feel challenged or like I was growing anymore.
During the pandemic, while I was already working from home, I started diving into travel courses to see if this was something I wanted to pursue. One of those courses gave me a full overview of how to build a home-based travel agency, and it really opened my eyes to the possibilities.
I wanted to do something I enjoyed, something that gave me the flexibility to create my own schedule, work from home, and continue to grow in my weekly volunteer service. Shifting to a business that aligned with both my passions and my lifestyle was exactly what I needed! By early 2022, just as the world was beginning to reopen I officially launched my travel business.
So looking back yes I do wish I had entered the travel industry earlier, maybe by working at a traditional agency to gain more hands-on experience and insight before starting on my own. But the way it all unfolded has made me incredibly resourceful and resilient and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.
At the end of the day, I believe the timing was exactly what it needed to be and it became the foundation for a business I’m truly proud of.

Jenny, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Yes of course! I’m Jenny Parseghian, the owner of Vibrant Sun Travels, a full-service travel agency specializing in taking the stress out of travel planning. My clients are busy professionals who just don’t have the time and energy to plan a trip—and that’s where my expertise and services come in.
I create customizable itineraries throughout Europe tailored to my client’s expectations. I love planning the dreamiest honeymoons and romantic escapes to Mexico, the Caribbean, and Hawaii. My strong relationships with trusted industry partners allow me to offer the best when it comes to hotels, sightseeing tours and unique experiences. I work with busy professionals, couples, friend groups, multi-generational families, and cruise lovers—anyone who wants a seamless, elevated travel experience.
People come to me for the personal experience of having someone truly there for them—something an online travel agency or AI simply can’t provide. The service I offer is personal. I’m not just here to book a trip—I want to really get to know my clients, understand what matters most to them, and treat each trip with the same care and excitement as if it were my own.
My hope is that my clients enjoy working with me so much that they return for future trips and feel confident referring me to their friends and family.
I want people to know I’m here to make travel easy, enjoyable, and completely tailored to them.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
One of the best sources of new clients has actually been through Google searches—just by looking for a travel agent online! One of the questions I’ll ask my clients during a consultation is How did they find me, and I always get so excited when they respond, “oh, just through an online search.” I’ve also had amazing clients come through word-of-mouth referrals, which always means so much to me and is truly the best compliment. Client reviews on Google, Yelp, and Travel Leaders have definitely helped new clients feel confident reaching out. And while social media isn’t my biggest source of new leads, it’s been great for staying visible and top of mind—so when someone’s ready to plan a trip, they remember I’m here and reach out.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I think a big part of building my reputation has been the trust my clients have in me. I work hard to make sure they know I’ve got their best interests at heart. Another factor has been putting myself out there—attending networking and supplier events and making personal connections with industry partners. These relationships not only help me stay on top of the latest trends but also allow me to offer my clients exclusive VIP perks, making their trips feel even more personal and special.
