The first time I knew I wanted to pursue a creative path professionally was back in 2015. It was more than just a moment, it was a spark that ignited something deep within me. I remember being completely captivated by the energy and emotion that electronic music could evoke. There was this one night, in particular, where I found myself at a live EDM event named “SENSATION”, surrounded by people moving in unison, completely immersed in the music. The connection between the DJs and the crowd felt electric, it wasn’t just sound; it was an experience.

That night, something shifted. I realized I didn’t just want to be in the crowd, I wanted to be behind the decks, creating those unforgettable moments. I went home and dove headfirst into learning the craft of DJing. What started as curiosity quickly turned into obsession. I spent countless hours practicing, exploring different subgenres of EDM, and experimenting with sound.

Looking back, that moment marked the beginning of a journey that would transform me not only as an artist but also as a person. It was the start of a path that felt not only creative, but also deeply meaningful. From then on, there was no turning back.

My name is Catzin Tzila, and I’m a DJ and music producer fueled by an unwavering passion for electronic music. Music has an unmatched power to unite people from all walks of life, and I aim to tap into that power every time I step behind the decks or create a new track.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the connection I get to create with people, often total strangers, through something as universal and powerful as music. There’s nothing quite like seeing a crowd completely immersed in the moment, feeling the energy shift with every beat, every drop, every transition. To know that something I created, something that started as an idea or a feeling, can move people, inspire them, or even help them heal, is incredibly fulfilling.

I also find deep reward in the personal growth that comes with being a creative. This path constantly challenges me to dig deeper, to be vulnerable, to trust my instincts, and to keep evolving. It teaches resilience, patience, and passion in ways that are hard to put into words. Every set, every track, every new project pushes me to step out of my comfort zone and connect more honestly with who I am and what I want to express.

At the end of the day, it’s the moments when someone comes up after a show to say a song made them feel something real, or when I realize I’ve turned a personal emotion into a shared experience that make everything worth it. Those moments remind me why I started this journey and why I’ll never stop.
