Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryanna Keiser.
Hi Bryanna, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I dreamt of owning a hippie business since I was 16 years old. I always joked with my family that I would name it Trippy Hippy. I thought more in the way of tie-dye items, oils, and incense. However, life had a different plan for me. As I continued through my journey, I tried to find different methods to help with my healing journey. I tried talk therapy and their suggested medications as I was struggling through different traumas and a miscarriage, but I was not making much progress. At the time I was working as a Mental Health Nurse and I saw so many of my patients struggling along with me to actually heal emotions within the body. I saw someone offering Reiki on Instagram and I felt the pull to give it a try. It sounds dramatic but that session was the catalyst in my journey and in my life. I started tapping into essential oils and learning the modalities that were offered to me that day. I felt an immense sense of healing within that hour session. I knew I wanted to give this same feeling to so many others. I wanted to provide a safe space of healing and education that wasn’t offered on an inpatient unit. That’s when Trippy Hippy was birthed. I hand crafted essential oils for my coworkers, friends and family and I built up my certificates and my practice. After 4 years, we are now in our own building offering mental health-based services along with woo-woo. A mix of the magic and mind.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. It has had plenty of bumps, but I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. With every single bump, I was able to learn so much. Owning my business, has been a learning lesson in a business aspect and a personal one as well. The biggest struggles for me have definitely been finding a balance. I am a mom, a wife, a mental health nurse in people’s homes, and I own my small business. I am very passionate about what I do and always have a million different ideas in my mind. Burn out can be a real thing. Knowing that I need to pour into myself as much as I pour into everything and everyone else has been my biggest lesson. This year, I am making it my goal to find my balance while putting my all into creating more and more of my dreams.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Trippy Hippy is a one-stop shop for your mental, energetic and physical needs. We offer private sessions as well as group activities. We love to honor the mind and find ways to bring you back into your body to heal and move through emotions, trauma and stored energy. We have a lot to offer here. We are certified as a Reiki Master/Teacher, Sound/Tuning Forks, Breathwork Facilitator, Somatic Practitioner, Sacred Ceremonies and Embodiment. We like for you to come here and enter a whole new world. We stress safety and a non-judgmental zone. We want all people of all ages and backgrounds to be able to find something here.
We specialize in finding ways to work through anxiety, depression or furthering your growth within yourself and your own journey. We stress the importance of expression, moving the body, and breathing. Embodiment is huge for us. We also teach Reiki to others wanting to provide this to themselves and their families/friends. We work with all ages. We find it to be very important to offer our services to children and teens as well as the elderly.
Our never- ending toolbox and experience working as a Mental Health Nurse for 7 years is something that sets us apart. We not only use the magic and woo-woo, but we have experience and evidence-based practice. Being a nurse helps us to work with people who have disabilities or medical conditions to provide them with safety and knowing what to do in the case of a medical emergency. Our services aren’t a touch and go. We teach you ways to heal outside of our space. We offer handmade items to go home with as well. We provide support and continued accountability as you grow and find your way.
I am most proud of the way we facilitate our services. I don’t know of many places where you can go and find all of the things we offer or teach in one central location. We have worked very hard to provide a plethora of options.
I want people to know that this is a safe space no matter what religion, race, background, age you are. We respect your voice and your choices. If there is an offering you aren’t comfortable with you have the ability to make things your own. It is all about you here. You are the priority, and we will always do our best to create and craft whatever you need.
Things can be booked in person and at a distance. If you are reading this and are a way away, we can still work together!
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years, our goal is to own an entire wellness center. A place with tons of practitioners offering different modalities. We would love to have a space that offers nutritional items as well as yoga, movement, healing, education and community. A place where you can heal, learn and be without worry and fear. Retreats are definitely on the agenda. Until we get that big, we will continue to keep collabing and offering as many good vibes as we can.
