We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Christina L. Woods a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Christina L., thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
There are seasons in life where everything you’ve built starts to feel… off. Not broken. But not quite aligned either.
That’s where I was.
To the outside world, I was successful. I had spent decades building a strong career, leading teams, creating a beautiful life. But inside, something felt hollow. I didn’t feel unhappy—but I didn’t feel connected either. And that quiet disconnect started growing louder.
The moment that changed everything didn’t happen during a retreat or a breakdown. It happened in my backyard—on a regular day, in my pajamas, doing a mundane chore. Nothing glamorous. Nothing dramatic. But something was said to me that made me stop. And in that pause, I heard a voice rise up inside me.
It asked a question that I’ll never forget.
That moment—what I now call my Garden Moment—wasn’t the end of something. It was the beginning of everything. I don’t share the full story here; it’s a pivotal moment I share in my chapter in Awakened Hearts, an anthology releasing this June. But I can tell you this: it shifted the way I saw myself, my life, and what truly matters.
That moment became the root of my mission.
Today, I support successful, self-aware women—business owners, leaders, creatives—who have full lives, but still feel like something’s missing. They’ve done the work. They’ve built the life. But they know, deep down, they’re meant for more.
They’re not looking for someone to fix them. They’re ready to remember who they are.
These women are courageous. They’re willing to look within. They’re not here for surface solutions—they’re ready for real transformation.
Through coaching, hypnotherapy, energy healing, and deep subconscious work, I help women peel back the old patterns, roles, and unconscious beliefs that keep them from fully living in their truth. This is not about fixing what’s wrong. It’s about reclaiming what’s always been right.
The part of them that’s whole. The part that’s wise. The part that’s been quietly asking for something more—not because they’re ungrateful, but because they’re ready.
My mission is to help women come home to that part of themselves.
Because when you stop living from performance and start living from presence, everything begins to shift—not just externally, but in the way you feel inside your life. And that’s where the real transformation begins.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Christina L. Woods, a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Empowerment Coach, Energy Healer, and founder of Wise Woods Hypnotherapy, Inc. I work with women who are incredibly capable—business owners, creatives, leaders—who on the surface have full, successful lives, but underneath it all are quietly asking, “Why doesn’t this feel like enough?”
They’ve done the work. They’ve built the business, the family, the lifestyle—and yet something feels off. They want to feel more connected to themselves, more aligned with their purpose, and more grounded in their truth—but they can’t quite name what’s missing.
That’s where I come in.
I help women who are smart, driven, and ready for something deeper break free from subconscious patterns, reconnect with their inner clarity, and create lives of meaning, peace, and success—in a way that honors who they truly are. My work is rooted in deep transformation, not surface-level quick fixes. Clients come to me when they’re ready to stop performing and start living.
My method blends hypnotherapy, coaching, energy healing, and subconscious reprogramming. I guide my clients through the emotional, energetic, and spiritual shifts required to stop self-sabotaging, release inherited patterns, and start making decisions from inner wisdom—not fear.
I work with clients all over the world through one-on-one private sessions, intimate group programs, transformational courses, and virtual experiences—including coaching, hypnotherapy, and energy healing. I’ve also had the honor of being featured on over 100 podcasts and radio shows, sharing this message with women across every walk of life. Whether I’m guiding a private client through subconscious healing or leading a group through an energetic upgrade, my work is rooted in safety, depth, and transformation. I was trained by some of the best in the world, including Marisa Peer, creator of the award-winning Rapid Transformational Therapy®, and I integrate this with my training in energy healing and deep subconscious reprogramming.
Some clients are navigating burnout. Some are at a crossroads in their business, relationships, or personal identity. Most are juggling a million responsibilities, managing everyone else’s needs, and wondering when it will finally feel like their life. They’re not broken—they’re just disconnected from their own voice, because they’ve spent years chasing validation outside of themselves.
My clients often describe my work as a return. A return to their intuition. To their truth. To what actually brings them peace, joy, and freedom—not just what looks impressive from the outside. Together, we clear the energetic clutter, heal the emotional wounds, and shift the subconscious beliefs that have been running the show for decades.
What sets me apart is that I’ve lived it. I spent 30 years in corporate leadership, checking every box I was told would lead to fulfillment—and still feeling empty. My personal breaking point became the foundation for my mission. I understand high-functioning women from the inside out, and I offer a space where they don’t have to explain or defend their desire for more. I help them come home to themselves.
I’m most proud of the ripple effect this work creates. When a woman reconnects with her truth, everything around her shifts—her business, her relationships, her energy. She stops leaking time and power and starts creating from alignment. And that doesn’t just transform her—it changes her family, her community, and her future.
Wise Woods is not just a company. It’s a space for deep remembering. My clients don’t come to me to be fixed—they come to be witnessed, supported, and empowered to rise. I’m here for the women who are ready. The ones who know they’re meant for something more—and are brave enough to claim it.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn that hustle equals value—and that perfection is the price of belonging.
It’s a belief I picked up early. I learned that if I just worked hard enough, stayed two steps ahead, did everything right, and never dropped the ball, I’d be accepted. Safe. Seen. That belief followed me into adulthood and into my career. I entered the corporate world in the early ’90s and rose quickly—building a successful life, a strong career, and everything that was supposed to feel “right.” I was achieving…but I was also exhausted.
Underneath the performance was a deep fear: that if I slowed down, if I stopped producing, if I wasn’t perfect—I wouldn’t be worthy.
Eventually, my body started telling the truth I wasn’t ready to say. I was anxious, disconnected, always chasing. I overspent. I overgave. I was constantly behind, even when I was ahead. My health started to suffer. My relationships strained. I could feel something inside whispering, This isn’t it. This isn’t who you really are.
What I now understand is that my subconscious mind thought it was protecting me. It was replaying old patterns that said, “If you stay busy, you’ll stay safe. If you’re perfect, you’ll be loved.” But those beliefs weren’t based in truth—they were based in survival. And the beautiful thing is: the subconscious mind can be rewired. When you change the story at the root, everything shifts.
That’s what I did.
I started to peel back the old programming. I gave myself permission to rest. To soften. To say no. I left behind a multi-decade career I was very successful in—not because I was failing, but because I was finally done proving.
I stopped tying my worth to output, and started anchoring it in truth.
And the irony? I became more powerful. My relationships deepened. My boundaries became clearer. My work became more impactful. I found peace—not from pushing harder, but from finally choosing myself.
To anyone still holding on to that old script—that hustle is your worth, that perfection earns your place—I gently ask:
How is that belief serving you?
What are you afraid will happen if you let it go?
Is that even true?
There’s a whole other way to live. A softer, deeper, truer way—and it’s available the moment you decide to unlearn what no longer serves your soul.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One of the most defining moments of resilience in my life wasn’t about surviving a crisis—it was about choosing to let go of everything that looked secure in order to follow what felt true.
I had built a successful corporate career over three decades. I had reached the top—leading teams, earning well, and doing everything I was told would create safety, success, and purpose. I had just become single. I had a mortgage, and my children were in college. By all conventional wisdom, it was the worst time to take a risk—and yet, something in me knew I couldn’t keep living a life that didn’t feel like mine.
So I walked away.
I left that career and began building my business from the ground up. It wasn’t easy. I had moments of fear, doubt, and second-guessing. I had to rewire years of programming that said success only came through hustle, and that safety only came through sacrifice.
But I chose to believe in something bigger. I chose to believe that alignment was worth more than approval.
One of the biggest risks I took early on was investing in visibility. After my first year in business—with my website fully built but still finding my rhythm—I hired a podcast agency. It was a leap. But I knew I had something to share, and I didn’t want to wait for everything to feel perfectly in place. That decision led to over 100 podcast appearances, radio interviews, new clients, new partnerships, and a deeper trust in my voice and my mission.
Resilience isn’t always about surviving what’s been thrown at you. Sometimes, it’s about making a bold, terrifying choice to create what you know is meant for you—even when no one else sees it yet. It’s about believing in yourself. And when we finally slow down—beneath the noise, the proving, the pressure—we find that everything we were looking for was already within us. Power. Wisdom. Intuition. It’s all there. We just have to choose it.
