We recently connected with Darlaina Rose and have shared our conversation below.
Darlaina, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
I am the living diary of the Mad black women, except I am not mad. Tyler Perry wrote the story but i lived that life for real. It was my defining moment. Why would God send me to care for a man that said he no longer wanted to be married to me? It was the hardest thing i ever had to do. However, it was the catalyst for me becoming a holistic healer. I learned so much saving him. It saved me too! I learned how to cure dis-ease! I learned the emotional causes of disease. Even though i had saved myself from congestive heart failure, it wasnt until my ex-husband was deemed cancer free from stage 4 nose and throat cancer that my life was changed. People trusted me with their lives and the lives of their loved ones.
Saving him defined the trajectory that my life is now in!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Darlaina Rose, and I’m a **holistic healer, certified Emotion Code practitioner, speaker, and founder of the Darlaina Rose Foundation. I’m also a proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a woman who has turned deep personal pain into purpose, power, and legacy.
I got into this work because I had to heal myself first. After surviving betrayal, heartbreak, becoming a caregiver to my ex husbands cancer, after the unraveling of a 27-year marriage, I found myself not just emotionally broken—but emotionally burdened. Traditional paths didn’t offer the full restoration I needed, so I turned inward, sought God, and dug deeper into the holistic healing modalities that saved me and my ex husband.
That journey birthed my calling.
Today, I help women—especially those who’ve experienced trauma, betrayal, emotional exhaustion, or who feel stuck—release trapped emotions, reclaim their joy, and rise into their next season healed and whole. Through The Emotion Code, holistic coaching, sacred group experiences, and speaking engagements, I offer spaces where women feel seen, safe, and spiritually supported.
What sets me apart is that I bring wisdom, warmth, and lived experience. I’m not offering surface-level fixes. I offer real, deep transformation. My energy is equal parts nurturing and no-nonsense. I combine divine intuition with practical tools. I create sacred containers where women don’t just feel better—they become better.
I’m most proud of the women I’ve helped walk out of emotional pain and into emotional power. I’m proud of building The Healing House of Roses and my nonprofit foundation, which helps women in Nigeria access education and entrepreneurship. And I’m proud that at 60, I’m still a size 6, still glowing, still growing, and still deeply committed to helping women bloom.
If you follow me, work with me, or simply sit in my presence, I want you to know this: healing is possible. Joy is your birthright. And no matter what you’ve been through, your best chapter has yet to be written.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
When my ex-husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. And despite everything that had happened, I chose to step back into his life—not as a wife, but as a healer. I cared for him. I brought him back to health. I did that while navigating family pushback, emotional wounds, and the weight of a past that could’ve broken me.
But it didn’t.
That season taught me that true resilience is not about staying strong—it’s about staying soft in a hard world. It’s about choosing grace when bitterness feels easier. And it’s about healing not just yourself, but the people who hurt you—*because you’re that powerful.*
That experience didn’t break me. It made me.
It birthed the woman I am today: a healer, a coach, a guide for other women who are walking through their own dark nights.
And now, I get to show women that no matter how painful the past, they can rewrite their story from a place of power, peace, and purpose.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn was that I had to struggle to prove my worth—that I had to be broke, humble, and constantly in survival mode to be ‘good enough.’ For a long time, I believed that an abundant, rich life—financially, emotionally, spiritually—was for other people, not for me.**
But the truth is, I am worthy of an amazing life. I had to unlearn the mindset that kept me playing small. I realized that my gifts, my experiences, and the love I pour into others through my work are *valuable*. I’m not just good at what I do—I impact lives in a meaningful, lasting way. That deserves to be honored, and it also deserves to be compensated.**
The backstory is that I spent years showing up for everyone else—my family, my community, my clients—often at the expense of myself. I was taught that service meant sacrifice. But over time, I came to understand that I can serve from a full cup. Abundance and impact are not mutually exclusive. Once I unlearned that old programming, everything shifted.
