We recently connected with Britt Renee and have shared our conversation below.
Britt, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer really get an amazing result through their work with you.
One of the most recent reviews that I received about my business absolutely filled my heart, and gave me the reassurance that I did my job very well even when I didn’t have to be in character. Here is the review: “My niece and I ran into Britt and Sarah this past weekend at Publix and they absolutely made her day! I’m assuming they had just left an event because both of them were dressed wonderfully with great attention to detail for their makeup and costumes. I’ve already shared their page with multiple family friends because just from that short interaction and their choice to maintain character while off the clock tells me they truly care about making those memories for everyone!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hello! My name is Britt Renee I’m the owner of Britt Renee Creative and am a bubbly, and energetic person with a creative mind. I am a former theme park cast member and have a self-taught talent for digital photography and editing. I have loved performing ever since I was a child and for the longest time I wanted to be a professional photographer. For a while I wanted to only do photography but when I realized that I could add my performance background and include acting like some of my favorite animated characters it was like magic to my ears. That’s when Britt Renee Creative was born. I now not only get to perform as my favorite animated characters I am also a recently certified mermaid and am overjoyed to add being a mermaid to my business.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
I believe that most of my clients up until this past year has been word of mouth. I have occasionally posted online on certain social media groups about my business when it has been allowed, and when I finally got my website connected with Google I have had several inquiries from Google search this year.
We’d love to hear your thoughts about selling platforms like Amazon/Etsy vs selling on your own site.
I do have a shop on my website. I have it set up through Printful. I have several designs that I have made (mostly Disney and princess inspired) that can be printed on several things including shirts, sweatshirts, hats and phone cases. I know the quality is nice but really the only con is that I need to make sure to buy items right away to make sure to check for any corrections that may need to be made since it’s made to order and I don’t print the designs myself.
