Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sabrina Cosentino. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sabrina, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
My background is in the medical industry with over 15 years of experience working with physicians and medical staff. I specialized in pharmaceuticals, specifically areas in Dermatology, Oncology and Psychiatry. During my time learning how the medical industry treats ailments, I knew there had to be more than one option. I felt this pull in my heart to explore more natural ways to treat patients but also to discover what their root causes were instead of just treating symptoms. I knew then I needed to be a part of something different. My belief is that a healthy lifestyle incorporating whole foods and exploring primary foods such as relationships, career and spirituality are key to identifying imbalances and by making shifts in your daily routine will infuse joy and satisfaction into your life.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am someone who loves to share all things wellness. I love to help people find their best selves. When I discovered better ways to improve my heath, I wanted to also improve everyone’s life around me including my family, my friends, etc. I am a Mom of two and a wife who is always so passionate about making our lives full of joy, peace and fulfillment. I first came upon a school in NYC called the Integrative Institute of Nutrition in 2020 during Covid, where I learned about a career in health coaching. I felt this was the perfect transition for me from my career at the time in pharmaceutical sales. I was ready to do something more rewarding and fulfilling. In 2022, I decided to start school while still working since it was online which fit into my lifestyle as a Mom. I absolutely loved everything about their culture. In my eyes, it was the crème de la crème of wellness. It’s led by Deepak Chopra just to give you insight into this institution. I started my business, Within by Sabrina in 2023 after I received my certification and never looked back. I started to network and build a following on social channels where I found so much opportunity in this field. I became an ambassador for some wellness brands and even some in fashion! I’ve collaborated with Sakara, a healthy food delivery service and even Halston, a high fashion clothing line!
I loved the idea of spreading the ripple effect on instagram and also with clients I work with one on one. To see these transformations that happen with my clients is so amazing and inspiring! The services I provide such as stress management, healthy food recommendations for certain ailments, and little hacks to improve your everyday life, etc. really encourage someone who is trying to improve their health. I always congratulate anyone I start working with because they have accomplished the first step to their best self and that is seeking out assistance and accountability. I think that’s where the magic happens. It’s that realization that life can be better! I think what sets me apart from other health coaches is that I truly invest in the people I’m helping. It’s not just another client but it’s a new friend. It’s someone I treat as my own because I want to see them experience true happiness! I’ve experienced it myself by changing the foods I eat and by stopping the mindset that a pill will fix it all.
I also love to give back. This past March, I joined forces with a best selling author and celebrity trainer to co-host a charity gala. The charity we worked with was Project Blackbird, a non-profit organization that allows the youth to receive mental health therapy for one year free of charge. We raised awareness and assisted in Project Blackbird’s goal of reaching 700 students! It was such a proud moment! We even appeared on Fox 5’s Good Night New York to promote the gala! It was such a great experience!
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
I believe that other than training and knowledge of your craft, your relationships with people is what can catapult your business onto a different level. Of course, ongoing education and keeping your business relevant is so important, so is networking. The people I have met in this space have been a life line to this world of wellness to me. In the beginning, it can be very intimidating being out there on your own. Some of the people I have met have been mentors. I’m always looking to learn more about what works for others and what doesn’t work through their experiences. Also, being part of a community gives you the courage to put yourself out there with confidence and security.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
What helped me build my reputation with my market was going back and utilizing my connections and experiences to move forward in this business. For example, I reached out to my past physicians who I called on in pharmaceutical sales and pitched them on the idea of partnering with me to help their patients not only be treated on the outside but also from within. I started to build a client base through my past network. From there, I also utilized the magic of social media where I was able to create a following with fun content and interesting facts about wellness. These two factors, I believe really helped my business soar. You can find me @withinbysabrina.
