We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tarla Makaeff. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tarla below.
Tarla, appreciate you joining us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
As a seven-figure creative founder, I understood success. But when I transitioned into high performance hypnotherapy, I found myself rebuilding from the ground up. A new industry, a new business model, and an entirely different approach to growth. I quickly found myself stuck at a plateau in a cycle of constant output and exhaustion, unable to break through to the next level. The clarity, confidence, and certainty I once had felt out of reach, and I knew something had to shift.
After implementing my proven mind shift system, I saw a 35X increase in daily revenue in a little over three months. But beyond the numbers, I felt a profound transformation. I had reclaimed the energy, focus, and self-belief that had once defined my success. That was my first major breakthrough.
In just 10 months, I reached a defining moment—one that changed the trajectory of my career. I had achieved a 94X increase in daily revenue, and for the first time, I fully realized the power of my system at the highest level. Breaking through mental blocks and shattering my glass ceiling allowed me to unlock success at a level I never thought possible. The same mind shift principles I had developed were not only driving my own exponential growth but were also helping my clients unlock unprecedented success.
What I learned: even for the most accomplished entrepreneurs, it’s easy to reach a plateau—not due to lack of skill or strategy, but because of subconscious limitations that impede performance. What gets you to one level of success won’t take you to the next. The real key is mastering your mind at a deeper level, breaking past these barriers, and stepping into a level of growth that feels effortless.
This defining moment proved that when you align your subconscious with your goals, you accelerate success in ways that go beyond logic. And that’s exactly what I help my clients achieve.

Tarla, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My journey began in the world of high level creative entrepreneurship, where I had the privilege of leading a thriving business. From a young age, I was deeply drawn to mindset and personal development, especially after experiencing the loss of my father when I was just a baby. This life-altering experience shaped my understanding of the importance of cultivating a resilient mindset in the face of adversity.
When I entered the online business space, I noticed something troubling. Despite many entrepreneurs dedicating themselves to conscious mindset work—following morning routines, attending masterminds, even doing cold plunges—many weren’t achieving the breakthroughs they expected. It was clear to me that while mindset is important, there was something critical missing.
This realization led me on a journey to explore the subconscious mind and become a high performance hypnotherapist. I knew that if I could tap into this hidden layer of the mind, I could not only overcome the mental barriers holding me back but also help others do the same. That’s when I became immersed in understanding how the subconscious truly drives our actions and outcomes. It was this profound insight that became the foundation of the work I do today.
I offer an immersive hypnotherapy program designed for high level founders and entrepreneurs who are ready to break through mental barriers, unlock their full potential, and go from Plateau to Overflow™.
My program is for those who have already invested in conscious mindset work, yet still struggle to create the lasting momentum necessary for exponential growth. Many have spent years in therapy or traditional coaching, only to find that these approaches don’t go deep enough to create the fundamental shifts needed to propel them forward. Despite their drive, they find themselves stuck, unable to reach the levels of success they know they’re capable of.
The reason? They’re focused on conscious change when, in reality, their subconscious has been running the show all along. Through my cutting-edge hypnosis method, The Tarla Technique™, we uncover the deeply ingrained “lies” of childhood programming, reframe and transform them, and ultimately rewire the brain to operate from success-driven beliefs on autopilot. Then, through my coaching framework, the Modern Mind Shift Method™, we reinforce and integrate these new patterns—bridging the gap between subconscious breakthroughs and conscious action.
This isn’t simple visualization. It’s a direct approach to subconscious reprogramming that leads to deeper, more lasting transformation. By leveraging the science of neuroplasticity and the power of the Theta brainwave state, we create new neural pathways that effortlessly shift limiting beliefs at their core.
What sets my work apart is the fusion of my own entrepreneurial experience with an in-depth understanding of the subconscious patterns that directly impact high level founders. I don’t just help entrepreneurs break through barriers, I help them accelerate their growth at an unprecedented pace. Through this process, they achieve next level breakthroughs in a matter of weeks or months, not years.
I’m most proud of the profound transformations my clients experience—not just in their businesses, but in how they think, perform, and lead. Watching high level entrepreneurs move from feeling stuck, frustrated, or burned out to operating with clarity, confidence, and momentum is what drives my work. It’s not just about financial success, it’s about personal evolution. True freedom. My clients walk away with an optimized mind that allows them to sustain success without the overwhelm, self-sabotage, or resistance that once held them back.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One of the most defining tests of my resilience came not from an ending, but rather, a beginning.
I had already built a creative business that hit seven figures. I knew what success looked and felt like. But when I transitioned into high performance hypnotherapy, I was stepping into an entirely new world, a different industry and audience. And despite my track record, I found myself battling with something unexpected: a deep questioning of whether I could do it again.
This wasn’t imposter syndrome in the traditional sense; it was more subtle. More internal. It was the quiet, lingering doubt that whispered, “What if I don’t have what it takes to build something that successful again?”
What made it harder was that I no longer had the support that once helped reinforce my belief in myself—my mom, who had passed away. And while on the outside I looked like I was progressing forward, internally, I was stuck. Perfectionism, analysis paralysis, and procrastination began to creep in. I was burned out from overanalyzing every move. I was constantly spinning without clarity or certainty, and that drained me more than any 12-hour day ever could.
But true resilience, I’ve learned, isn’t about working harder. It’s about recalibrating at a deeper level. So instead of pushing relentlessly, I turned inward. I used my own resources—specifically, hypnotherapy—to go beneath the surface and uncover the real root cause of what was holding me back.
Through this process, I was able to bypass what we call the “critical factor”—the bodyguard of the mind that protects the beliefs you hold in your subconscious. That allowed me to go straight to the subconscious, identify the outdated beliefs and programming, and begin reprogramming new ones through deep work and daily hypnosis audios.
It wasn’t just a mind shift. It was a full identity shift.
And the results spoke for themselves. What followed was a massive breakthrough, one that reignited my momentum and confirmed that this internal work has the power to shift everything. But more importantly, I reclaimed my certainty, my conviction, and my confidence. From there, everything accelerated, and I began to see results I hadn’t imagined before. All of that came from addressing what was underneath, not the presenting symptoms of perfectionism or burnout, but the subconscious root cause of my challenges with self belief.
That’s what resilience truly means to me. It’s not about striving harder, it’s about rising higher. It’s about doing the internal work required to elevate—not just operate.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
When I first came into the online space, I saw so many entrepreneurs focusing on conscious mindset work, but despite all that, many weren’t seeing the results they expected. I noticed this gap and started to realize that no matter how much personal development I did, I still hit mental blocks I couldn’t break through.
Self-development had been a major part of my life since I was a teenager. When I first had massive success as a creative founder, I’d been doing a form of deeper mindset work at the time—something I now recognize as the beginning of tapping into my subconscious, even though I didn’t fully realize it then.
But years later, when success didn’t come as effortlessly, I started to question why. I saw so many talented entrepreneurs hitting a glass ceiling, including myself. These were invisible barriers that strategy alone couldn’t overcome.
Around that time, I felt a strong intuitive pull toward hypnotherapy. I even mentioned it to my therapist, not knowing exactly why. It was just this deep internal knowing. Then I had a chance meeting with a hypnotherapist in a business group, and that was the moment that changed everything. I knew, with everything in me, that this was the answer.
Not long after, I got certified as a hypnotherapist and discovered what I now believe is one of the most overlooked truths in the personal development space: 95% of our behavior is driven by the subconscious.
That was the lesson I had to unlearn: that mindset alone, in the traditional sense, isn’t enough. It isn’t just about thinking positive thoughts or forging your way through resistance. It’s about accessing and shifting the deep-rooted beliefs that shape our reality behind the scenes. Only then, can we truly leverage the conscious strategies—like coaching. That epiphany was what changed everything.
