Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Blagoeva.
Hi Daniela, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been an artist at heart. Before I even had the words to express myself, I used art to make sense of the world. It was how I spoke up, how I processed everything around me. Over time, that turned into photography—it became my voice, my way of capturing the essence of moments, places, and emotions.
Travel has been a huge part of my journey. It’s never just been about seeing new places—it’s about discovering new parts of myself. Every hike, every trip, every challenge has pushed me to grow. When I hiked Rim to Rim in the Grand Canyon, it wasn’t just about endurance—it was about reflection, about realizing how much I’m capable of. Being out in nature, moving, breathing, witnessing landscapes bigger than myself—it’s where I feel most alive, most in tune with who I am.
My focus on health and well-being also played a big role in how I got here. As I started prioritizing taking care of myself, I became more in tune with my body, my emotions, and my purpose. It helped me see things more clearly, and in turn, my photography started to evolve. Now, I don’t just capture images—I capture feeling, movement, transformation. Whether it’s a dancer embodying the flow of feminine energy or the raw vastness of a desert landscape, I’m drawn to the kind of art that makes people feel something.
Right now, I’m in a phase of becoming. I’m chasing new experiences, pushing my creative limits, and letting my photography take me further into the world. I’m focused on enjoyment and following my excitement. Every trip, every shot, every adventure adds another piece to my story—one that’s still unfolding.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve had to face a lot of challenges, both in my craft and in myself.
One of the biggest struggles has been imposter syndrome—just believing that I am a photographer, that my work has value, that I deserve to be paid for what I create. In the beginning, it was hard to ask for money, to put a price on my art, and to feel confident in doing so. I still sometimes question if I’m good enough. It’s taken a lot of self-discovery to understand my worth and step into that fully.
On top of that, my journey didn’t follow a traditional path. I never went to college, and after high school, I felt completely lost. I didn’t know what I was doing or where I was going, and that uncertainty led me into a really dark place. I mentally checked out, and what started as a period of confusion turned into ten years of struggling with my health—physically, mentally, emotionally. There was a point where I almost didn’t make it. Overcoming that was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, and it completely changed me.
Looking back, all of these struggles shaped me into who I am today. Learning to believe in myself, to take up space, to create and share my art without fear—it’s all been part of the process. It hasn’t been easy, but every challenge has pushed me forward in ways I never expected.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m known for my desert portraits—when people think of an outdoor or desert photographer, they think of me. I’m a natural light photographer—everything you see in my portfolio is captured with natural light, no artificial setups, no heavy editing—just the real, raw beauty of the moment. I believe light is everything, and I work with it to create dreamy, ethereal portraits that feel soft, golden, and alive.
My work isn’t just about taking good photos-it’s about helping people and brands tell their stories. Whether it’s a personal portrait session in the desert or creating content for social media, I bring a vision to life. I capture all the angles—stills, movement, video—so that brands and individuals have content that feels authentic and impactful. From storytelling through images to creating short-form videos that bring emotion and energy, I help my clients create something that resonates.
My photography is about feeling. Whether I’m capturing women in the vast openness of the desert or documenting my travels, my goal is always the same: to inspire a sense of wonder, freedom, and magic. I want people to look at my work and feel like they’re in a dream, like this life—this planet—is something extraordinary. I want them to see that they have the power to create whatever they desire. The key is to slow down, to trust, to follow excitement and joy. There’s always beauty, always something to be grateful for, always a reason things unfold the way they do.
For me, nature has always been a place where I can be completely myself. It’s where I feel the most free, and that feeling of freedom is the core of everything I do. I chase it in my art, in my life, in the people I surround myself with. Creativity needs space, movement, expansion.
Where I come from, art wasn’t seen as a “real” profession. But here I am. My work is ethereal, soft, drenched in golden light—capturing both strength and vulnerability, wildness and stillness. It’s a reflection of everything I believe in: freedom, beauty, and the power of following what lights you up.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
