Today we’d like to introduce you to Franko Morales.
Hi Franko, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started with coaching because I had a coach myself that helped me tremendously, and I want to give that to people.
In 2021, I went to Vegas with my dad (76 yo), a person who as long as I remember was the very first to wake up, put on a pair of shoes, and be ready for the adventure. Walk around, know the people, know the town.
But this time, it was not the case. He was last to wake up, first to go to sleep. His body wouldn’t allow him to walk long distances, and instead of walking around, we spent most of our vacation days sitting or lying down in the hotel room.
I realized that I didn’t want that for me when I grow up.
So, I started a diet program that could cut me any excess weight and fix any health issues I had (at that moment in time, my doctor said that I was at a good weight and overall healthy).
Before that program, I had tried about 8 different diets, and nothing had stuck.
The difference of this program was that there were coaches helping the community to succeed. If anybody had problems, challenges, or doubts, the coaches graciously and intelligently helped the people, making the entire program a success for most of us.
After that program, I’ve never been back to my old bad food habits, and my weight (20 pounds less) and health (increased energy, focus, and clarity) have never been better.
Thanks to this program, and especially to the coaches on the program, I realized how important it is to have somebody on your side that trusts you and that wants you to succeed.
I wanted to be that for the people around me and my clients. And that’s exactly what I did.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road.
My original career is in Software Development. I had a comfortable job, with a more than comfortable salary. So, for me there was no reason to change.
I actually started my business in 2023, when I decided I wanted to help people with my coaching. But I didn’t do much about it for a year and a half because I was too comfortable.
It was in July 2024 that I decided to quit my job and put all my efforts into this coaching business.
Me, coming from a traditional home, have to overcome a lot of noise and voices in my head that tell me to stick with the normal course, to keep providing for my family.
There was a lot of fear and doubt, but thanks to all my personal development preparations and my own coaching training, I’ve been able to maintain my sanity, and keep shooting for my goal and dream, which is to help people to succeed.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
For me, the two most important things that will help you succeed are personalization and support.
I prefer to go the extra mile and talk and discuss with my clients until I can understand what moves them, what their fears and challenges are, what their goals are, and their why’s.
And it’s then when we work together on a plan that will help them to achieve their goals and overcome their challenges.
Thanks to this approach, the people I coach are able to adhere to the plan effortlessly. Change habits in a simple manner, and maintain such changes in the long run.
And when things start to be out of track, or life gets in the way, I’m always there for my clients to give them the support they need to succeed.
I’ve seen many coaches that talk with their customers, but have a script that will follow no matter what. They will tweak the conversation to make them fit in their plan instead of the other way around. Ultimately giving the customer a plan that the coach wanted, and not what the customer needed.
For me, what makes me proud is to have a clear picture of what my client wants, and help them realize that he has everything within him to achieve it.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I’m always open to new ideas.
Even on my social media, I usually ping my followers to ask them about my content and ways to improve it in their eyes.
My email is always open to receive any comment, recommendation, and constructive feedback anyone, a follower, customer, or friend, wants to share.
