Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronika Vidal.
Hi Veronika, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I think my story is a typical “hero” journey of someone who learns life’s most valuable lessons through their own mistakes. I’ve always been very outgoing and have been on stage and TV since I was a child. International singing competitions, costumes, makeup—I spent more time at rehearsals than at school learning biology.
But there came a point in my life where I knew something was off. I didn’t feel comfortable being myself. I couldn’t pinpoint what it was exactly. From the outside, it seemed like I had it all: I was married, had status, we owned a business, traveled frequently, and lived the life that many people work hard to achieve. I was even working part-time as a model in New York. I had accomplished everything that a girl from Russia, who grew up without a father, could dream of.
Yet, the longer I lived this “normal” life, the more I faced the reality that I wasn’t happy—not with myself and not with who I had become. On one of my birthdays in 2016, I decided to go to Sedona, and for the first time ever, I experienced something called “energy healing.” I remember a woman leading me through a guided meditation. She was singing and playing drums, but all I could do was cry. I felt so much pain coming out of my chest, yet I had no idea what was happening.
The next day, I decided to separate from my husband. I felt like I needed my own space to truly learn who I was and what I wanted in life. He didn’t take it well, and we fought. I ended up staying with him for another three years, but I was already a different person.
From that moment on, I became determined to find answers. I started searching for places or people who could help me understand what was happening to me. My journey took me to Bali, where I lived in an ashram with a guru. Later, I became part of a “cult-like” organization that claimed to know my destiny. I served them for a year, only to realize that the entire journey was teaching me one thing: there is no one out there who can teach you the truth. The truth is something you discover on your own—through your feelings, pain, happiness, and tears.
That realization changed everything for me. I turned inward and started paying attention to my own voice. The answer I found was in my music. I began writing lyrics, and the music started pouring out of me effortlessly. This became the foundation of my path to helping others.
It started with my songs, which led to requests for voice lessons. Over time, those voice lessons evolved into coaching sessions. I incorporated years of self-improvement techniques I had discovered along the way. Eventually, I added a more practical, materialistic aspect by including public speaking and self-presentation services.
Through all of this, I came to understand one fundamental truth: there is nothing more powerful than knowing who you are. Only then you can clearly communicate yourself to the world and be seen
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of my biggest challenges has always been sticking to one thing. I often hear people say to me, “You’re all over the place.” Yes, I know it’s true, but just because people see it and point it out doesn’t mean it’s going to change instantly. This is something that happens internally—the self-sabotage, the desire to do everything, and the fear of commitment don’t disappear overnight.
That said, I am proud of my path and the fact that I have so much passion and curiosity for different ideas. However, I also recognize that commitment is key to building something long-lasting and successful. Every month, I notice myself improving—becoming better at staying focused and committed—without losing who I am. Instead, I’m evolving into a better version of myself.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Today, I combine my 20 years of stage experience as a performer with helping others achieve their goals. What I’ve realized since I started coaching is that people who have never had any kind of artistic or musical experience in their lives are often limited in their emotions and in expressing who they truly are.
Recently, I introduced a very successful young woman, who had built her name in a multimillion-dollar business, to the basics of piano—its sounds and the foundation of musical notes. After the class, she was in complete shock. She felt like she had discovered an entirely new world, one she had never been a part of before. It was a world where she could feel the music through her fingers, hear the subtle differences between the sounds of notes, and connect to something deeper. As I sat there listening to her share how she felt, I was filled with happiness. I realized that what comes so naturally to me—the world of music—is a mysterious and magical realm for others, one that not everyone has the chance to access.
If I think about what I am most proud of, it’s my ability to help others discover parts of themselves they never knew existed. I teach them the freedom to be themselves and show them how music and voice play a crucial role in that journey. I see the voice as a powerful instrument—it tells stories, shares emotions, and has the ability to connect, influence, motivate, or even protect. Those who learn to master this tool will become the most powerful versions of themselves.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Risk-taking for me is always motivated by personal growth, a desire to evolve, and the opportunity to discover parts of myself that might otherwise remain hidden. I have taken a few major risks—like leaving my home country to start a new life here in the United States. I am willing to take significant risks when I feel that the current path or outcome will not lead to my happiness.
