Today we’d like to introduce you to Remi Attia.
Hi Remi, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in Los Angeles and was always drawn to the stories my family used to tell around the dinner table. I was very close with my grandparents and they loved to cook and gather friends and family around the dinner table. From a young age, I fell in love with the world of hospitality. In college I studied Culinary Arts and Hospitality Business Management because I wanted to expand my skills in the industry. After years of working as a hotel inspector, consultant and designer I decided to go off on my own and launch my business, The Nosh Table.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Launching your own business is never a smooth road, but it is very rewarding. Everyday is different because you are navigating unknown territory but I love the problem solving aspect of running your own business. Meeting other business owners along the way has been a huge help in keeping me motivated and learning alongside others.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My favorite part of running my own business, The Nosh Table is expanding my creativity. From a young age, I loved being artistic whether I was painting, drawing or cooking. Designing new products for The Nosh Table brings me so much joy, because I get to be a part of every iteration of the product development. I start by hand painting every new product idea, then I reach out to various makers to create samples of the product. I really enjoy having the opportunity to work with extremely talented glassmakers, ceramicists, and linen makers to bring my vision to life.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Community is my biggest priority with The Nosh Table. I create dinnerware products to inspire people to come together as a community around the table because I believe breaking bread and having conversations is the way we will change the world.
