Today we’d like to introduce you to Mike Caliber
Hi Mike, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Djing has been the foundation of everything I’m currently doing. I started Djing over 20 years ago. During this journey I’ve worked with a marketing company that worked directly with the record labels and national touring artists. Later on I learned how to write and produce music from a few successful Chart topping producers and Grammy award winning song writers.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My Biggest struggle along the way has been balancing personal goals with the politics of the industry.This never ends.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have Dj’ed in some of Chicago’s premier venues and I have also been hired by various corporate brands like Remy Martin, T Mobile, Heineken, Bacardi, Rolling Out Magazine and the list goes on. I’m currently a weekend guest Mixshow Dj for IHeart Media on 107.5 WGCI. I own and operate Promo Control, a newly developed digital media company that manages and consults clients on the architecture of pop culture.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory involves taking road trips with family. The older you become you cherish those moments.
