We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tali Neidenfeuhr. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tali below.
Tali, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
Dom and I did a bunch of brainstorming to come up with the name of our business. I remember sitting at the kitchen table in our condo making lists upon lists. We wanted something that tied the nature and adventure side of our business with the magic of weddings. After making lists of everything we could think of related to the outdoors and weddings, Dom come up with “Forever and Evergreens” combining the “forever and ever” of weddings with “evergreens” to bring both of the things we love together.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi! We’re Tali and Dom, the husband-and-wife duo behind Forever and Evergreens — an adventure elopement photography team that helps couples ditch tradition and get married in the most wildly them way possible. Think mountaintop vows, trailhead first looks, forest dinners under the stars — whatever feels like freedom to the couple, that’s what we help bring to life.
Our story started with a camera, a shared love of exploring wild places, and way too many photos of each other on road trips. I (Tali) was already deep into photography, doing senior portraits and more traditional work back home, while Dom and I started experimenting with photographing our adventures together. At some point, we realized we could blend the fun, free-spirited energy of those trips with my photography background — and just like that, Forever and Evergreens was born.
We offer more than just elopement photography — we’re part adventure guides, part planning partners, part storytellers. We help couples plan epic, meaningful experiences from start to finish, including location scouting, timeline help, vendor recommendations, and navigating permits. But what matters most to us is creating space for couples to be completely themselves. Eloping isn’t about running away — it’s about running toward something that feels true, joyful, and unforgettable.
Every elopement feels like a grand adventure we get to plan with new friends — kind of like the dream trip that actually made it out of the group chat. The bonds we build with our couples, the trust they give us to document their day with intention and heart, and the stories we get to tell through our images — that’s what we’re most proud of.
We want people to know that their wedding day doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. It can be quiet and wild and weird and beautiful — whatever makes their hearts feel full. And we’re here to help them make that happen.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
So much of what we do is rooted in connection — and that doesn’t stop after the camera’s packed up. We stay in touch with our couples long after their elopement day, whether it’s sending a thoughtful anniversary note or cheering them on as they grow their lives together.
A lot of our couples become real friends. We’ve had clients send us baby announcements, postcards from their travels, or messages years later just to say they were reminiscing about their day. It’s never transactional for us — it’s personal. That level of care is what keeps people coming back and referring their friends (some of whom we now call friends too!). We are so honored that we’ve been able to follow so many of our couples through their lives together from engagements, to wedding photos, baby announcements, newborn photos, and family sessions.
We also make a point to show up consistently online in a way that feels real and grounded. On Instagram, through our blogs, and via email, we’re not just selling services — we’re telling stories, offering tips, and sharing pieces of our own lives and adventures. People can feel when something’s authentic. That’s how loyalty is built — by genuinely caring, showing up, and continuing to serve people even when the “job” is done.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For us, the most rewarding part is getting to witness people in their truest, most joy-filled moments — and having the honor of turning those fleeting memories into something they can hold onto forever. There’s something incredibly special about capturing a laugh echoing across a mountain valley, a quiet tear during private vows in the woods, or the way two people look at each other when they feel totally safe and seen.
As artists, we don’t take it lightly that our work becomes part of someone’s legacy. These aren’t just photos — they’re little time capsules of love, adventure, and intention. The fact that we get to help people feel celebrated for exactly who they are, and give them something beautiful to remember that by, is the greatest gift.
And honestly? The friendships we form along the way are the cherry on top. We often leave an elopement day feeling like we’ve just shared something deeply personal and powerful — not just as vendors, but as fellow humans who care deeply about our couples’ stories.
