We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Alli Zenger a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alli, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I think being successful means staying deeply aligned with your purpose while staying flexible in your process. For me, that looks like being intentional and creative—whether I’m designing a space that helps people feel calm and connected, or building a brand that brings people together over beautiful food. It’s about showing up consistently, even when things are uncertain, and being willing to pivot without losing sight of the bigger picture.
But it also means not giving up—even when others don’t believe in you or think you won’t go far. I’ve learned that you have to be your own biggest believer. Confidence and self-pride aren’t about ego; they’re about knowing your worth and honoring how far you’ve come. Success, to me, is built quietly in the background through good relationships, thoughtful decisions, and the courage to keep going, even when the path isn’t clear.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi! I’m Alli Zenger, the owner and creative behind All Things A to Z—a charcuterie and grazing table business rooted in beauty, connection, and thoughtful detail. I’m also a commercial interior designer by trade, and I recently started offering virtual interior design services on the side, where I help clients bring personality and soul into their spaces—no matter the size or budget.
My journey into both of these creative paths has always been about the same thing: creating experiences that make people feel something. Whether it’s a beautifully curated grazing table at a celebration, or a thoughtfully designed wellness room where people can feel grounded and at ease, I believe the details matter. They tell a story. They make people feel cared for. And that’s what I’m passionate about delivering.
All Things A to Z started as a passion project—I’ve always loved hosting, styling food, and making people feel special through those little touches. Over time, it grew into a business that now serves corporate events, weddings, showers, and private gatherings. I offer everything from individual grazing boxes to large-scale, custom grazing tables, always with an emphasis on quality, artistry, and intention.
In design, I’m equally intentional. My background in commercial interiors taught me how to design spaces that are not only beautiful, but functional and strategic. With my virtual interior design services, I help people bring their vision to life in a way that feels personalized and approachable—whether it’s a cozy living room refresh or a thoughtful small-business space. I especially love blending modern, organic, and eclectic styles to create rooms that feel warm, unique, and true to the person living or working in them.
What sets me apart is my ability to combine creativity with care. I listen. I pay attention to what people need. And I’m not afraid to do things differently—whether that means launching something new, pushing through doubt, or showing up when things get hard. I’m most proud of building this all from the ground up and staying true to who I am in the process. Every board I make and every space I design carries that energy.
To potential clients, collaborators, and followers—I want you to know that when you work with me, it’s not just a transaction. It’s a collaboration. I want to celebrate your moments, elevate your space, and help you feel proud of what you’re creating in your own life. And I’ll bring my full heart to every step of the process.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding part of being a creative is seeing something that started in my mind come to life—and knowing it’s had a real impact on someone else. Whether it’s a charcuterie table that becomes the centerpiece of a celebration, or a room that makes someone feel calm, inspired, or truly at home, there’s something so special about creating experiences that connect people to beauty, joy, and each other.
As a creative, you pour a lot of yourself into your work—your time, your energy, your vision, your heart. So when someone responds emotionally to something you’ve made, when they feel seen or taken care of through the details—that’s everything. It’s not just about making something look good. It’s about how it feels. That emotional response, that connection—that’s the reward.
It’s also incredibly fulfilling to look back and see the growth—how far you’ve come, the risks you’ve taken, the times you didn’t give up even when you weren’t sure anyone noticed. Being a creative has taught me to trust myself, to keep pushing forward, and to celebrate the little wins along the way. There’s so much magic in turning an idea into something real—and even more when it means something to someone else.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Absolutely—there is a mission driving my creative journey, and it’s rooted in the belief that beauty can be both deeply personal and incredibly powerful. Whether I’m designing a space or styling a grazing table, my goal is to create something that feels intentional, emotionally resonant, and tailored to the people it’s for. I want my work to bring people comfort, confidence, and connection.
I’ve always looked up to creatives like Joanna Gaines, Kelly Wearstler, and Kelly Behun—not just because of their aesthetic talents, but because of the way they’ve built identities and brands that are true to themselves. Joanna’s heart-centered approach and focus on family and home, Kelly Wearstler’s bold risk-taking and iconic presence in the design world, and Kelly Behun’s ability to mix minimalism with warmth and artistry—they’ve all inspired me to trust my own creative instincts and to dream big, even when the path isn’t fully clear.
At the core of it all, I want to help people feel something—peace, joy, pride, celebration, grounding—through the spaces they live in or the moments they gather around. I want to show that creativity isn’t just about making something pretty; it’s about telling stories, evoking emotion, and helping people experience life more fully. That’s what keeps me going.
