We were lucky to catch up with Taylor Foster recently and have shared our conversation below.
Taylor, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
“Thank you for asking about the heart behind my business. My journey to creating Heaven On Main Street has been deeply personal and, in many ways, a direct response to my own experiences with self-perception and the pressure to conform.
Growing up as a redhead in Miami, I often felt like I stood out – not in a good way! – often feeling like an anomaly. Despite Miami’s diverse culture, its dominant visual style was in contrast with me.
This feeling of being ‘different’ took on a new dimension when I transitioned into the world of fashion modeling. Suddenly, instead of feeling like I stood out in a general sense, my features – and indeed, everyone’s – were under a microscope. Faces and bodies were constantly being evaluated, picked apart, and measured against often unattainable ideals. I witnessed firsthand the immense pressure to fit into narrow beauty standards and the emotional toll it took on individuals, myself included.
It was in this environment, surrounded by both the celebration and the critique of physical appearance, that a profound realization began to dawn. I saw that true beauty isn’t about conforming to an external mold but about embracing and celebrating the unique beauty that resides within each of us. The constant scrutiny I experienced, coupled with my earlier feelings of ‘otherness,’ fueled a deep desire to shift the focus from external validation to internal empowerment. I’ve always felt that a person’s energy and attitude are what truly make them beautiful, far more than just their appearance.
Heaven On Main Street was born from this desire. It’s more than just a skincare and makeup brand; it’s a mission to help everyone cultivate a genuine sense of well-being and confidence in their own skin. Having navigated a world where appearances are so heavily emphasized, I understand the vulnerability and the power that our relationship with ourselves holds.
My goal is to create products that not only enhance natural beauty but also nurture self-acceptance and self-love. I want to empower individuals to feel good, not because they fit a certain ideal, but because they recognize and celebrate their own unique radiance. I want to move away from the idea of ‘fixing’ perceived flaws and towards the idea of enhancing and celebrating individuality.
For me, this isn’t just a business; it’s a personal commitment. It’s about taking my own journey of navigating self-perception and turning it into a positive force for others. It’s about fostering a community where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered to stand in their own power, comfortable and confident in the skin they’re in. My experiences have given me a deep empathy for the struggles with self-image, and it’s this empathy that fuels the mission behind Heaven – to help everyone, regardless of their background or perceived differences, feel truly good in their own skin.”

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My path to this work has been anything but linear. For years, I ran a bakery, pouring my heart into creating delicious food that brought people joy. But eventually, the burnout hit—long hours, constant pressure, and the weight of it all started to take its toll. When I became a new mom, everything shifted. I realized that I wanted to do something that was more sustainable for me and, ultimately, more fulfilling.
I turned to the healing power of nature, aromatherapy, and self-care—practices I had always woven into my life but never fully embraced until that moment. I wanted to create products that not only helped people feel good physically but also brought them moments of peace, joy, and connection to themselves. Something that was intentional and nurturing.
Now, I craft products that are infused with nature’s wisdom—herbs, essential oils, and ingredients that ground and restore. I hand-harvest much of it from the Catskills, and there’s something truly magical about working with plants from the land I call home. It’s about slowing down and reconnecting with the simple rituals that nourish us, something I had to relearn after the chaos of running a bakery and adjusting to new motherhood.
I’m most proud of how my work has helped people find their own sense of calm and balance amidst the busyness of life. Whether it’s a face mist, a body scrub, or a flower remedy, my hope is that these products offer a little space for someone to breathe, to pause, and to care for themselves—mind, body, and soul.
If you’re new to my work, know that it’s built on a foundation of love, authenticity, and a desire to help people reconnect with themselves. It’s not just about products—it’s about fostering moments of peace and healing in a world that often pulls us in too many directions.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Building my audience on social media for Heaven On Main Street has been less about chasing trends and more about authentically sharing the heart and soul of what I do. I’m all about gradual, organic growth fueled by staying true to myself and the genuine passion behind my craft.
The right audience will find you – just put yourself out there and do what you want to do!
I believe what resonated with people was the genuine passion behind the brand. People can sniff out inauthenticity a mile away. I wasn’t trying to be someone else or follow a rigid formula. I was simply sharing what I loved and why it mattered to me. That vulnerability and honesty, I think, created a connection.
I also made a conscious effort to engage authentically with those who did find their way to my page. Responding to comments, answering questions thoughtfully, and genuinely showing appreciation for their support. It’s about building a community, not just accumulating followers.
For those just starting to build their social media presence, my advice would be this:
Stay fiercely true to yourself and your brand’s core values. Don’t try to be a carbon copy of someone else who’s successful. Your unique perspective and passion are your superpowers.
Let your passion be contagious. People are drawn to enthusiasm. If you genuinely love what you do, let that shine through in your content. It’s infectious.
Focus on creating valuable content, not just promotional material. Share your process, your inspirations, tips related to your craft, and behind-the-scenes glimpses. Offer value beyond just trying to sell something.
Engage authentically and consistently. Respond to comments, ask questions, and build relationships. Social media is a two-way street.
Be patient and persistent. Building a genuine audience takes time and effort. Don’t get discouraged by slow initial growth. Consistency is key.
Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable and share your story. People connect with the human element behind a brand. Your ‘why’ is often more compelling than just the ‘what.’
Experiment and learn. See what resonates with your audience and adjust your strategy accordingly. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach.
Ultimately, building a loyal audience on social media is about creating genuine connections fueled by your authentic passion. When you stay true to yourself and let that passion shine, the right people will find you.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Someone who consistently resonates with me, and whose wisdom I often revisit is Wayne Dyer. His emphasis on self-reliance, trusting your inner guidance, and the power of positive thinking has been a foundational influence on how I approach both life and business. His work encourages a mindset of possibility and the importance of aligning your actions with your authentic self – a principle I strive to embody in Heaven On Main Street.
More recently, I’ve found myself drawn to podcasts that offer insightful conversations with entrepreneurs and healers. I’m loving the James Xander Podcast: The James Xander Trip plus his Good Morning Legend is an amazing way to start the day and align yourself with your highest purpose!
A book that has had a particularly impactful effect on me is Patrick Bet-David’s ‘Your Next Five Moves.’ Finishing that book was a real catalyst for introspection. It challenged me to look beyond immediate tasks and consider the longer-term implications of my decisions, forcing me to confront any ways I might have been holding myself back. The framework for understanding different levels of moves and anticipating challenges has been invaluable in shaping my approach to growing Heaven On Main Street with intention and foresight. It’s helped me move from a more reactive stance to a more proactive and strategic one. As my acupuncturist told me – “I want to get you to a place of responding, not reacting” I love this and think of it often.
