We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brittany G a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Brittany thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
To be successful (from my personal experience) it has taken God, prayer, dedication, hard work, a team and consistency.
I wouldn’t be where I am now without those things!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Absolutely!
I started my first business at 15 alongside my sister, hosting house shows for touring bands right in our parents’ living room. We called it BlastHouse. That experience sparked our love for events, leading us to open our own music venue and expand into event planning, rentals, and décor services which inspired us to change the name to BlastHouse Event Co. Over the years, that passion for creativity and connection evolved into a full-fledged career.
Today, I run a boutique style creative agency specializing in social media and creative services for entertainment industry professionals called Mi Amor Creative Studio.
I’m also a partner and talent manager in my family’s talent management company JRoberts Management that is ran by my mom.
As well as the founder of a thriving women’s social community, called Sassy Girls ATL.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Providing excellent customer service to my current clients. While I absolutely value the power of digital marketing and social media, I still believe that word of mouth is the most impactful form of marketing. When you treat your clients well and consistently deliver high-quality services, they naturally become your biggest advocates and refer others. That kind of organic growth is both powerful and lasting.
Networking is also just as important. Simply putting yourself out there can open doors you never expected—whether it’s a new client, collaboration, or opportunity. Atlanta is such a vibrant city with events happening all the time, so there’s no shortage of chances to connect with people and grow your presence and clientele organically.

Have you ever had to pivot?
Absolutely. One of the biggest pivots I’ve made was early on when my sister and I started hosting house shows in our parents’ living room. What began as a passion project quickly grew, and after about a year, our parents let us know it was time to find a new space—it had simply outgrown the house. So we moved into the lobby of their office building, but within months, we were facing the same issue. That’s when we made the bold decision to step out on faith and get our own building.
At first, we focused solely on pop-punk shows for local and touring bands. We loved what we were doing, but it quickly became clear that while the passion was there, the income wasn’t what we needed it to be, We had to take a step back and ask, ‘What’s going to keep the bills paid as well as ourselves paid?’ That’s when we pivoted into hosting a wider range of events—from churches, weddings, private events and more.
That experience taught me so much about the importance of adaptability, strategic thinking, and leading through uncertainty. We were super young at the time (both under 21) so it wasn’t easy, but I’m proud of how we navigated it and turned a challenge into a stepping stone for growth.
