Rakaiah , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

I came up with the idea of starting my own business by noticing that the 9 to 5 lifestyle, the mundane lifestyle never resonated with my soul. I come from a family of entrepreneurs, we all create our own way of life and being to support ourselves and our family because we realize that our life is not determined by a day of the week, It is something much more meaningful.

hello my name is Gem The Death Doula🕊️, my intention as a death doula is the aid people into deep healing, providing a safe space to honor life, death, dying , grief, and the afterlife. I’m here to show humanity that heaven can indeed be a place on earth and that everyone has access to this energy. I love being able to show that death is only the release of matter in the continuation of information and experience having lived in the physical realm, simply a change in address, as death is an evolving expression of growth. My healing intention within my herbal offerings is to help humanity return to natural ways and cycles of the earth through earth medicine. The earth provides everything we need to survive and heal🌎 We must honor her to restore the earth and heal ourselves 🌿

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

I got the funding for my business by working local jobs and saving money from those jobs also networking and selling some of my products while at the jobs

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

as a widow and mom of a toddler, I feel like my entire existence speaks volume and shows my resilience my son‘s father and my partner transitioned almost 2 years ago, and his transition gave me the fire to step deeper into my business made me more resilient made me more mindful and made me a overall better person because I had to learn how to show up for myself and my son more and show up for my community more while dealing with and learning how to navigate my reality without him in the physical
