Having new or innovative ideas is essential to pushing the world forward and so we asked the community to share stories of the most innovative things they’ve done in their career. Our hope is to inspire folks who think only scientists or tech-wizards can innovate – innovation is possible for everyone, regardless of job title or function, industry or geography.

Rather than following the conventional path of architectural practice, I made an intentional decision to focus on the technological side of architecture, exploring how 3D printing, digital fabrication, and computational design can revolutionize the built environment. Architecture as a field has been slow to integrate new technologies at scale, and I wanted to challenge that by researching how these innovations could be leveraged not just for efficiency but for sustainability and inclusivity. One of my most innovative projects involved studying 3D-printed architecture green systems, examining how digital fabrication could be applied to urban infrastructure while balancing environmental impact. This model grew out of a challenging opportunity that presented itself several years ago to deliver elevated visuals across multiple tv shows at once without compromising production value. After assessing the budget and schedule, I suggested a method that allowed for visual continuity across all episodes and organized the workflow to maximize resources across the board. Read more>>
