My advice I can give on creating a more inclusive workplace, is offering your clients a space that feels safe & relaxing. People want to come to a space where they do not have to be on edge but more so a space that feels like a therapy session. By obtaining this, keep your space bright, with soft warming colors on your walls, furniture and inviting music. Have complimentary snacks & drinks in your workspace. To give people an inviting atmosphere. You never know some people may be leaving straight from work. To come to you. I remember a time when I didn’t work in an inviting workspace & at that time I was attracting clients who liked my professionalism but my atmosphere wasn’t a vibe. So I wasn’t attracting loyal clients, this is when I knew it was time to provide an inclusive workspace. Read more>>

When I think about inclusivity in the wedding and events space, particularly in florals, I consider three key areas: my clients, my collaborators, and my team. My goal is to make each of these aspects as inclusive and diverse as possible.
For my clients, I never shy away from cultural traditions. I embrace them wholeheartedly. I love designing florals that honor and elevate meaningful traditions, and I take the time during consultations to understand what elements are important to each couple.
