Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Emma Rosen. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Emma thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I want my legacy to be about redefining what weddings can be—breaking away from tradition and giving couples the freedom to celebrate their love in a way that truly reflects who they are. Weddings shouldn’t feel like something you have to do; they should be something you get to fully experience—unapologetically.
The wedding industry is saturated with planners who just go by the book, doing the same thing over and over. But I believe it’s time for a shift, and I hope to be a small driving force for that change. I want to bring the fun back into weddings, stripping away the pressure and expectations so couples can actually enjoy their day instead of feeling like they’re just ticking boxes.
At the end of the day, I want to create weddings that feel alive and natural—where couples are fully present, guests actually have a blast, and every moment feels like them. If that means breaking some rules, ditching traditions, and throwing the ultimate party in the name of love, then that’s exactly what I’m here to do.

Emma, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
After earning my Graphic Design degree from Drexel University, I explored a variety of industries before finding the perfect blend of my skills. After years of navigating the hustle of New York City and Philly, I made the move to San Diego in 2017 with two clear goals: to live somewhere I truly loved—not just the only place I’d ever known—and to try my hand at wedding planning.
You know that saying, “If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life”? Turns out, it’s true. From the moment I worked my first wedding in 2017, I felt an undeniable connection to this industry, and I haven’t looked back since. I know how rare it is to find a career that truly lights your soul on fire, and I feel incredibly lucky to have found mine. I still have pinch-me moments wondering, “Is this really my job?”
After working with multiple wedding planning companies in California, I launched Little Love Collective in 2025 because I wanted to do things differently. The wedding industry—especially in SoCal—is overflowing with planners, yet when I searched for unconventional, rule-breaking wedding planners, I found almost none. Of course, I’ll plan a traditional wedding, but only if it’s what you genuinely want—not just what you think you should do. My mission? To bring the fun and playfulness back to weddings and the planning process.
As a Gemini and an Enneagram 7, I thrive on variety, energy, and excitement—qualities the wedding world has in abundance. My natural ability to connect with people has earned me the nickname “the glue” among my friends, from the West Coast to the East and beyond. One thing to know about me? If you walk into a room feeling down, my goal is always to make sure you leave a little brighter.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
In mid-2024, my mom was re-diagnosed with head and neck cancer, and my world flipped upside down. As her only child, I found myself constantly traveling between New York to support her and California to keep up with my wedding planning job—trying to balance both felt impossible. Eventually, when she made the decision to stop treatment, I had to leave my old company. It was heartbreaking in every way.
About a year ago, she passed away, and there truly aren’t words to describe that kind of loss. In the midst of my grief, I knew I had to find meaning in it. About six months later, I started brainstorming Little Love Collective—and in a way, I feel like she led me here. I honestly don’t think I ever would have left my team if that life-changing event hadn’t happened.
I’ve always had a different perspective on weddings, shaped by my incredibly unconventional family—divorced parents, a dad who was with my stepmom for 17 years before they finally got married, and a dynamic where we’re all still close to my stepbrothers’ dad and stepmom. It only makes sense that my take on weddings is just as unique.
This one’s for you, Mom. I just wish she were here to see it. 💜

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is truly connecting with vendors and having them see me in action on wedding days. That’s how I’ve built my reputation. While I once dreamed of planning destination weddings, what I cherish most now is working alongside and creating relationships with incredible venue coordinators and catering teams.
I take a different approach to wedding days—I want to create a sense of home in my work, where we handle the inevitable chaos as a team. We tackle challenges strategically, with a little perspective, and usually a smile. I like to laugh off the madness, remind myself (and everyone else) that the building is not on fire, and get things done.
At the end of the day, networking and a relentless work ethic are what build my reputation. I show up, I work hard, and I make sure that no matter what, the day feels effortless for my couples.
