We recently connected with Natasha Zaytseva and have shared our conversation below.
Natasha , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success is a byproduct of relentless execution, extreme ownership, and the ability to make decisions based on data rather than emotion. It’s not about being the smartest or most talented—it’s about being the person who consistently takes action, adapts quickly, and refuses to make excuses.
One of my clients came to me when she was struggling to get traction in her business. She was insanely talented in her field, but she was stuck—constantly overwhelmed, undercharging, and unsure of how to scale. She felt like she was doing everything but still wasn’t seeing the results she wanted. Instead of looking at external factors, we focused on what she could control—her pricing, her positioning, and her execution. We refined her offer, streamlined her operations, and got her focused on high-leverage activities instead of busywork.
Fast forward, and not only did she completely turn things around, but she’s now an award-winning professional in her industry, booked out months in advance with high-caliber clients seeking her out. The shift wasn’t in her talent—it was in her ability to execute at a higher level, take full ownership of her success, and move with speed instead of hesitation.
So if you want to be successful, you have to operate with extreme ownership—stop blaming external factors and start taking control of your outcomes. You also have to move fast. Perfectionism kills momentum, and speed wins. Finally, you have to be relentless. Most people quit too soon. If you can outlast the competition, iterate aggressively, and stay disciplined even when motivation fades, success becomes inevitable.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
When I first launched my business, I started in executive coaching. Coming from a corporate background where I worked with Fortune 500 companies run Operations for over a decade, I was focused on leadership development and helping professionals perform at a higher level. But something interesting happened.
Over time, small business owners—many of whom had known me for years—started reaching out, asking if I could teach them the real strategies I had learned in corporate. They didn’t just want leadership coaching; they wanted to know how to build systems, streamline operations, and grow their businesses without constantly feeling overwhelmed.
That’s when I realized that small business owners weren’t failing because they lacked skill—they were struggling because they didn’t have the business infrastructure to turn their expertise into scalable revenue. So, I pivoted. I started teaching solopreneurs and small teams the exact strategies that help big businesses grow—but in a way that’s simple, actionable, and designed for them. Today, my business consists of consulting and coaching services for businesses of all sizes.
What I Do & The Problems I Solve
I help business owners stop spinning their wheels and start making real money by teaching them how to:
– Build repeatable systems for marketing, sales, and operations
– Focus on profit-driving tasks instead of wasting time on busywork
– Set up the tech and automation they need (without feeling overwhelmed)
– Create content, funnels, and email strategies that attract and convert customers
– Scale without sacrificing their time, family, or sanity
Most business owners don’t fail because they’re not good at what they do—they fail because they don’t know how to run a business effectively. That’s where I come in. I take the guesswork out of business growth by providing proven frameworks that actually work.
What Sets Me Apart
Unlike a lot of business coaches or strategists out there, I don’t just give you fluff or motivational hype—I give you execution strategies. I’ve built and scaled businesses using the same methods I teach. I know what it’s like to start from scratch, sitting on your couch with a laptop and a dream, trying to juggle clients, marketing, tech, and family life all at once. And I also know exactly what it takes to break through those plateaus and hit your revenue goals—without unnecessary complexity.
What I’m Most Proud Of
I’ve helped countless small business owners completely transform their businesses. Some went from barely making ends meet to running six-figure brands. Others have become award-winning professionals in their industries, booked out months in advance with high-paying clients. Seeing them win—not just financially, but in their overall quality of life—is what fuels me every day.
What I Want You to Know
If you’re an entrepreneur who’s tired of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or underpaid, I want you to know two things:
– Success isn’t about working harder—it’s about working smarter with the right strategies and systems in place.
– You don’t have to do it alone.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Growing up as a first-generation immigrant, I saw firsthand how my family navigated the world. Most of them went into business—not because they were passionate about entrepreneurship, but because they believed they wouldn’t have the same opportunities in corporate. I remember watching movies and TV shows where powerful executives sat around a massive boardroom table, making decisions that shaped industries. Even as a kid, I knew—I would be at that table one day.
But getting there wasn’t easy.
I worked relentlessly, gaining the skills, experience, and respect necessary to earn my place. I pushed through self-doubt, navigated backstabbing office politics, and overcame challenges that would have made others quit. But I welcomed it all. Every setback, every hard lesson—it was just fuel for the fire. And then, years later, I found myself in that very room, sitting at the table I had dreamed about. It was invigorating. Not just because I had made it, but because I had earned it.
Along the way, I had incredible mentors—people who saw my potential, challenged me, and guided me. So when COVID hit and I decided to leave corporate to start my own business, none of them were surprised. In fact, they were some of my biggest supporters.
But here’s the thing: Their support wouldn’t have meant anything if I didn’t believe in myself first. Just like that kid watching TV, I knew that success wasn’t about where I started—it was about where I decided to go.
And I took that same resilience, that same determination, into building my own business. Because no matter how many obstacles stand in your way, when you refuse to let doubt win—you become unstoppable.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
When I started my business, I assumed that marketing and ads would be the key to getting clients. But what I quickly realized was that my best opportunities didn’t come from cold outreach or social media—they came from networking, collaboration, and referrals.
At this stage of my business, I’m focused on building awareness, and the most powerful way I’ve been doing that is through conversations and connections. Some of my best clients have come through people who have known me for years—former colleagues, business owners I’ve supported informally, and even people who have followed my journey and referred me simply because they trust my expertise.
One of the most rewarding moments was when a business owner I had helped years ago reached out and said, “I’ve been watching you, and I need what you’re teaching now. Can we work together?” That’s when it really clicked for me—awareness isn’t always about shouting the loudest; sometimes, it’s about consistently showing up and delivering value until people realize they need what you offer.
Collaboration has also played a huge role in my client growth. Partnering with other business owners, joining communities where my ideal clients hang out, and leveraging testimonials from people who have worked with me—these have all helped me build credibility and momentum. When someone refers me, it’s not just about a new lead—it’s about trust. They believe in what I do enough to put their name behind it, and that’s powerful.
Right now, my focus is on deepening relationships and expanding my network—because every conversation, every collaboration, and every referral is another step toward growing a business that feels aligned, impactful, and sustainable.
