We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Crystal a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Crystal, thanks for joining us today. We love heartwarming stories – do you have a heartwarming story from your career to share?
One of the most heartwarming stories from my career involves a toddler who was struggling to eat solids. His parents were understandably concerned, but they were also open to exploring how chiropractic care could help. After examining him, I noticed something that his mom hadn’t mentioned—he wasn’t crawling correctly, and he was having difficulty walking.
We decided to move forward with an adjustment, and what happened next was incredible. After just one session, this little one started to show dramatic improvement. He began squatting and even trying to walk without assistance for the first time! It was such a beautiful moment to witness, not only because of the physical progress, but because of the excitement and relief it brought to his parents.
Seeing a child overcome challenges like that through chiropractic care is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. It reminded me once again of the incredible healing power of the body and how even small adjustments can have a profound impact on a child’s development. It’s moments like these that keep me deeply passionate about the work I do and the families I’m able to support.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Dr. Crystal Corona, D.C., founder of Grounded Wellness Chiropractic, and my passion lies in helping families achieve better health through holistic, patient-centered care. My journey into chiropractic began when I witnessed firsthand the transformative effects it had on my husband’s Costochondritis. That experience sparked my desire to pursue a career where I could provide natural, effective care that supports the body’s ability to heal. I earned my Bachelor’s in Public Health from the University of South Florida and later completed my Doctor of Chiropractic at the National University of Health Sciences.
Through my own experience as a mother, I became deeply aware of the unique challenges that come with pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. After my own daughter was born, I recognized the need for bodywork to release tension, not just for myself but for my newborn. This led me to continue my education through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, where I became certified in the Webster Technique and Perinatal Care, allowing me to specialize in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic. I am also certified in Acupuncture, which further enhances my ability to support my patients holistically.
At Grounded Wellness Chiropractic, I focus on helping families thrive, offering care for everyone—from newborns to 99+ years old. I provide gentle, effective chiropractic adjustments that support pregnancy, birth preparation, postpartum recovery, and childhood development. My services also address common concerns such as colic, latch issues, torticollis, reflux, and sleep challenges in infants, as well as pelvic balance, back pain, and overall wellness for pregnant individuals. I also work with families who want to prioritize preventative care and long-term well-being.
What sets me apart is my dedication to education and empowerment. I don’t just adjust—I take the time to teach my patients how their bodies function, how to optimize their well-being, and how to take an active role in their health. I believe in collaborative, integrative care, working alongside midwives, doulas, lactation consultants, and other providers to ensure families receive well-rounded support.
I’m most proud of the impact I’ve had on the families I serve. Whether it’s helping a pregnant client experience a smoother, more comfortable birth, seeing a baby finally latch and feed successfully after a gentle adjustment, or supporting a family in their wellness journey, each success story fuels my passion.
For those considering chiropractic care, I want them to know that my practice is a safe, welcoming space where they will be heard, supported, and cared for with compassion. My mission is to help families in the Tampa Bay area feel grounded in wellness, empowered in their health, and supported at every stage of life.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
If I could go back, I would absolutely choose the same profession and specialty. Chiropractic care has allowed me to make a meaningful, positive impact on people’s lives, and I’m truly passionate about helping families thrive through holistic, patient-centered care. My journey into chiropractic started from a personal experience, and it has only deepened my love for this field as I’ve seen firsthand how effective it can be in healing and improving quality of life.
The decision to specialize in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic care was particularly rewarding because it aligns with my personal experiences as a mother and my desire to support other families in their health journeys. I feel incredibly fulfilled knowing I’m able to make a real difference in the lives of both parents and children.
If anything, I might have sought additional opportunities to further expand my knowledge in other holistic fields earlier on, but ultimately, I’m confident I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. The ability to work with families in such an intimate and impactful way continues to fuel my passion every day.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Building a strong reputation in my market has been a combination of several key factors. First and foremost, my commitment to patient-centered care and creating a welcoming, safe space for families has been essential. By focusing on truly understanding the unique needs of each individual and providing holistic, personalized care, I’ve built trust within the community.
Another factor that has contributed to my reputation is my dedication to continuous education and specialization. Becoming certified in the Webster Technique, Perinatal Care, and Acupuncture has allowed me to offer a level of expertise that sets me apart and meets the specific needs of pregnant individuals, infants, and families. This deep knowledge, combined with a commitment to staying informed about the latest developments in chiropractic care, helps me provide the best possible service to my patients.
Additionally, my focus on collaboration with other healthcare providers—like midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants—has helped build a network of professionals who trust and refer patients to me. Word-of-mouth referrals from happy families, along with strong community connections, have played a huge role in growing my reputation.
Finally, my passion for educating and empowering my patients about their health has fostered strong relationships. I don’t just treat symptoms; I work to help my patients understand their bodies, so they feel empowered to make informed decisions about their care. That level of trust and understanding has made all the difference in building my reputation.
