Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Paul Cimins. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Paul, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
It was summer of 2007 and I had shoulder surgery and was limited what I could do at the time causing me to have time to think. I thought about several support group meetings and how helpful they were .But also realized it was very time consuming and not practical having to get a baby sitter for your suit child becomes a real challenge. I just started reading about what podcast was as there were not many .So the idea strikes me why not talk about issues of rising a child with autism and talk about hope topics and tell stores of overcoming the challenges of autism. So that is where the idea came from. I had a good friend Yoav Sasson a musician help me setup recoding for our first episodes and it was born and name it Hopesavestheday which are powerful words that mean a lot to me. This is trademarked and copy written the phrase that is as it meant so much to me.
As time went by the show was gaining more popularity and growing as our listers did and in 2009 -2010 we became syndicated with Clear-channel media I Heart radio and reach millions around the world and are #1 in radio that talks about Autism.
As time went by I wanted to do more in the field and then Autismradio a Non profit 501c3 Organization was born. Which I wanted to help families get support the need whether its therapy they can’t afford or things like tools like an iPad and so many other things.
The core mission of Hope Saves the Day is to offer a platform that brings together people with autism, their families, and professionals, fostering a community that shares knowledge, resources, and emotional support.
