We recently connected with Pumkin Spookerella Grim and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Pumkin Spookerella, thanks for joining us today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
If I could go back, I would absolutely start my social media career earlier. My husband has always been my biggest supporter, encouraging me to pursue content creation. We’ve been together for 10 years, and, funnily enough, we actually met through social media—he came across a video of me singing on Facebook, loved my voice, and reached out to collaborate. We recorded a few songs together, and people really enjoyed them!
However, growing up in a small town in upstate New York, having a social media presence—let alone aspiring to be a content creator—was far from the norm. At the time, there was a lot of negativity surrounding what I was doing, to the point where I even had to leave high school due to how I was treated. For years, I let those external judgments hold me back, trying to make myself more “palatable” out of fear of being seen as different or failing.
In the last five years, I’ve truly stepped into my confidence and embraced who I am—both online and in real life. Through this journey, I’ve built an incredible community, the Grimlins, who have shown me more acceptance and support than I ever thought possible. Their love not only uplifts me but also extends to my husband, Echo, and his music, making it possible for us to live a life we once only dreamed of. Today, I get to be unapologetically myself—a tattooed, witchy, graveyard-loving creator—and, even better, I inspire others to embrace their authentic selves. Seeing my community feel empowered to let their own “freak flags” fly brings me so much joy, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m known as Pumkin “Spookerella” Grim. My journey began with modeling alongside my husband, Echo Grim. The overwhelming love and support for our content propelled me into the realm of social media influencing. Before I knew it, I had surpassed 50,000 followers on TikTok, amassing over 10-15 million total views, and my Facebook following grew substantially as well.
Beyond my online presence, I am a practicing witch and the proud owner of “Wiccad Intent,” a metaphysical shop where I craft personalized spells for my clients. Their glowing reviews affirm the positive impact of my work. My mission is to challenge the stigma surrounding witchcraft, showcasing it as an empowering practice that fosters a deep connection with the universe.
Additionally, our polyamorous content has received significant appreciation. While my husband and I have had a girlfriend in the past, we are currently single and open to the right person joining our relationship.
What sets me apart is my dark, alternative aesthetic. Despite my bold persona, I’m just a normal person who sometimes fears being perceived. We all deserve love, but be warned—crossing me can lead to darker encounters, my freezer spells are famous for a reason. Stay tuned, as new content is on the horizon!

How did you build your audience on social media?
My best advice for anyone looking to take content creation seriously is, first and foremost, consistency is key. Your audience follows you because they want to see you—so show up for them! Even the small, everyday moments that might seem insignificant to you can be engaging content. Don’t hesitate to document your journey, even if those around you don’t fully understand or support it. The right audience will find you and appreciate what you bring to the table.
Equally important, if not more so, is authenticity. Always stay true to who you are. In today’s digital landscape, we see too many people crafting personas that aren’t sustainable. Eventually, the facade fades, and that can lead to a loss of trust—or worse, complete fallout with their audience. Instead, be open, honest, and real, even if that means sharing moments that aren’t perfectly polished. In my experience, authenticity builds deep, lasting connections with your community. My followers know that what they see is genuinely me, and because of that trust, they’re incredibly loyal and supportive. Keeping it real not only strengthens your relationship with your audience but also ensures that your content remains fulfilling and sustainable in the long run.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, the most rewarding part of this journey is seeing the real impact we have on people’s lives every day. Hearing someone say that my spell work has changed their life or that my husband’s music has helped them through tough times is incredibly meaningful. I love seeing fans share videos of themselves jamming out to Echo’s songs with their family and friends—it’s those moments that make everything we do feel so worthwhile.
And honestly, I still get so excited every time I see someone wearing Echo or Pumkin Grim merch. It never stops feeling surreal to know that people are out there with my logo on their cars, my face on their shirts, or even my husband’s name and lyrics tattooed on them. It’s a level of support that we never take for granted. The bond we’ve built with the Grimlins means the world to us, and we’re beyond grateful for this community that continues to grow and inspire us every day.
