Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cade Rosenberger. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Cade, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?
To start with some context: My parents are both very religious, whereas I am not. So on many things, we do not always see eye to eye. I have always felt a pushback on my spirituality. But my parents did teach me to follow the Golden Rule; to consider the impact that my actions have on others. With this, came an overwhelming need to empathize and support those in my life.
This manifests in my work by allowing me to process and understand my own emotions through the creative process. And in turn, I can transition this understanding into art that speaks comfort to others as well.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Cade! I am a 29 year old, non-binary acrylic artist. I enjoy creating with acrylic paint and using upcycled materials (found branches, stones, thrifted frames, books, etc) in my art. I create paintings in all sizes and enjoy creating small works that are accessible for all.
I have always been creative. As a child, it was poetry and photography but I was never in a place for it to be nurtured. My personal creative journey started in 2019 as I began to nurture it within myself. It was a way to express myself and understand more about who they are. As the years passed I realized that my passion for art overlaid my passion for making others feel seen, heard, loved and worthy on their journeys. To take what they may see as lonely or misunderstood and show them that they aren’t alone & that growth is always happening.
My biggest inspiration for my work is the connectedness we share on this amazing planet. We are connected to the Earth & to Each other, so we must tread with kindness. May that show in every piece I create.
The thing I am most proud of is my voice. My ability to have grown through my anxieties around being truly seen and heard in the struggles that are part of my daily life. I am most proud that my work, born from my own mental health journey, can encourage and uplift others on theirs. I think what I want others to know most is that they are not alone, they are valid and their journey will be filled with Light again, even when it feels dark & hopeless. V1s1ons of L1ght is for everyone, in every phase of their journey.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was that not everyone should get some of your time, even if they ask. I have always been someone who prides themselves on being “helpful”; available to help those in my life. I always made it a point to help anytime that I could.
As I got later into adulthood, I began to realize that many people were taking this selflessness for granted and using me for their own business or gain. For me, it was a partner’s actions in this way that really opened my eyes. Taking a step back from them showed me that the giving of one’s energy and help, is something to be reciprocated and appreciated; not expected.
I began setting a boundary that I would only help when I felt I had the capacity. Really proving to myself that I could trust my own word and keep my own health as my highest priority. It was not an easy boundary to hold, but in my opinion, the most worth it.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
V1s1ons of L1ght is driven by the desire to remind others that we are not alone on our journeys, even if they’re vastly different. That no matter how dark it gets, and how alone we feel, that there are others you don’t even know that need your light; that are rooting for you in corners you didn’t even know about.
V1s1ons of L1ght is a reminder of the connectedness we all share with each other and the earth. A reminder that we must be kind to ourselves and others and continue to heal, so we can help heal each other & the planet.
