We recently connected with Crystal Behe and have shared our conversation below.
Crystal, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
The legacy I plan on leaving behind is a world that no longer blames victims of abuse/trauma and instead shows empathy and kindness. A legacy that offers support, love, and, above all, a safe place to share your story and not be judged. I want my brand to represent hope resielnce and rebirth. The legacy I hope to leave behind is one where society no longer blames victims of abuse and trauma, but instead demonstrates empathy and kindness. I envision a legacy that provides support, love, and, above all, a safe space for individuals to share their stories without fear of judgment. I want my brand to embody hope, resilience, and rebirth.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
So, I am a domestic abuse recovery advocate, speaker, author/publisher, and personality recovery specialist. The reason I chose this path is because I am also a survivor of not only domestic abuse in every form but have other traumas as well in my past that led me to this calling. I am also starting a foundation that is going to provide not only a virtual sanctuary but also a physical one for survivors of domestic abuse to be able to rebuild their lives with the support they need, from financial literacy to parenting classes and mental health support and everything in between. I give my clients a safe space to share their stories without judgment and help give them the tools they need to rebuild their lives and go from barely surviving to thriving in their personal and professional lives. The one thing I am genuinely proud of is the knowledge that through my work, I am changing lives, spreading hope, and educating others about the truth behind domestic abuse and how just because they got out,t it doesn’t mean that they are automatically going to be okay that they need to show empathy and kindness instead judgment and frustration.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Knowing that my work is spreading hope, enlightenment, and encouragement, whether it’s a chapter in an anthology, the picture I made, the song I wrote, or a podcast I did.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal in my life, not only in my creative journey is to help create a better world for my children. I want to create what I so desperately needed when I finally got away from my abuser and ended up losing everything just because I left him. I want to ensure that others don’t go through what I went through.
