We were lucky to catch up with Bel Di Lorenzo recently and have shared our conversation below.
Bel, appreciate you joining us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
I developed my vaginal gymnastics program completely out of necessity—my sex life wasn’t where I wanted it to be, and I was desperate to bring the spark back.
I started researching ways to deepen pleasure and stumbled upon something that felt like myth: Pompoir—an ancient practice where women used their vaginal muscles with such precision and control that they could completely enamor their lovers. I was obsessed. But I quickly realized that beyond a few vague blog posts and rumors, there were no tutorials, no structured training—just whispers.
So I took matters into my own hands. I started studying pelvic floor anatomy and applied everything I knew about biomechanics and fitness to the muscles surrounding the vagina. I built a structured workout program based on the skills I had read about in those historical tales—squeezing, milking, locking, whipping, twisting.
Then I started testing. First with my partner (the results: ridiculous pleasure and multiple orgasms for both of us). Then, when I saw how effective it was, I went to the forums and wrote free tutorials for other curious women. The response was immediate.
I began training women for free over Zoom. Those women told their sisters, coworkers, even their therapists. It snowballed. I had to train my best friend—now my COO—just to keep up with the demand.
At the time, we weren’t charging anything. All we asked was for feedback: Did they feel more? Did they orgasm more? Were they enjoying sex again? The answers were yes, yes, and YES. We heard from women who had never had a vaginal orgasm—now having multiple. Women whose libidos had come back to life. Women whose partners were suddenly obsessed with them again.
Along the way, I consulted with pelvic floor doctors and physicians to ensure we were doing things safely. And then I realized something: the visuals mattered. A lot. So I started designing anatomical diagrams to help women understand the movements. The results were so effective that I hired another best friend to help me animate them into a full video course.
While we were still building the course, I kept sharing my knowledge for free. I wrote a Reddit post that went viral. I made a TikTok that exploded. I created my own subreddit. I pitched hundreds of sex toy companies to partner with me. One said yes.
And then suddenly… it happened. I launched. I sent one email to their list and overnight, hundreds of people signed up. From an idea born out of bedroom boredom, I had launched a real business—one that would go on to change lives, mine included.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Bel Di Lorenzo, founder and CEO of Gohddess, an online platform that teaches women the art of vaginal gymnastics—yes, that’s exactly what it sounds like. Through our animated program, we train women to develop incredible control of their vaginal muscles and master skills like squeezing, milking, locking, whipping, and twisting—yes, twisting.
What started as a personal journey became a global movement. I was in a loving relationship, but our sex life had lost its spark. While researching ways to bring it back, I stumbled upon an ancient practice known as Pompoir—rumored to have been used by Cleopatra and other legendary seductresses. The deeper I dug, the more obsessed I became—but I realized there was no structured way to learn it.
So I created one.
I started applying fitness and muscle-training principles to the pelvic floor. I studied biomechanics, consulted with doctors, and began developing a workout method to build strength, flexibility, and control in the muscles surrounding the vagina. When the results completely transformed my own sex life, I began training other women over Zoom—for free.
It took off.
Soon I had to train my best friend (now my COO) to help me keep up. The results our students were getting—more orgasms, deeper sensation, restored libido, heightened confidence—were incredible. We began creating visuals to help explain the movements, which later became the foundation for our fully-animated online course.
In early 2024, I published a book on the methodology. It became a #1 best seller in Women’s Health in the U.S., and helped take our movement even further.
What makes Gohddess different is that we don’t treat the pelvic floor like some clinical afterthought. We treat it like what it truly is: the epicenter of female pleasure, confidence, and vitality. Most women are told to do Kegels passively, maybe after childbirth or later in life. But we believe in actively training these muscles to improve sexual performance, not just function.
Now, thousands of women around the world have gone through our course—many of whom had never experienced vaginal orgasms before. Many are navigating menopause, rebuilding their sex lives, or simply exploring what their bodies are capable of. The feedback we get every week is emotional, empowering, and sometimes even life-changing.
I’m currently preparing to publish the first clinical study on vaginal gymnastics in collaboration with Dr. Sonjia Kenya at the University of Miami. I’ll also be pursuing a Master’s in Physiology with plans to eventually complete a PhD in what I call Sexual Performance Science—the study of how sex, muscle control, hormones, and overall vitality intersect.
What I’m most proud of is that Gohddess is no longer just a course—it’s a revolution. It’s fun, effective, and backed by science. And we’re just getting started.
So if you’ve ever wanted to explore the full potential of your body and train your sex life like it actually matters—you’re in the right place.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
In the beginning, I was terrified of people stealing my work.
When we first launched the course, it was wild—animated sequences of colorful vaginas moving in sync, Greek goddesses guiding you through exercises, even Guitar Hero-style games that let you train your pelvic floor to the beat of your favorite sexy songs. We had poured our souls into it. So when I started reaching out to potential partners, I would send samples completely watermarked. I didn’t want anyone stealing a single frame.
But over time, I had to unlearn that fear—because the truth is: people will copy your product.
And that’s okay. Because the people who copy are, by definition, the ones who weren’t creative enough to come up with it themselves, or weren’t hardworking enough to build something on their own. They’re missing the two qualities that matter most in business.
What I’ve realized is: originality and momentum beat imitation every time. First-mover advantage is powerful—but even more powerful is staying in the game long enough that you become undeniable. That’s something no one can copy.

Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?
Funny enough, I was terrified of launching the book (can you tell I’m not a big risk-taker?).
I knew I wanted to create something more affordable than the course and more in-depth than all our free resources. But I kept thinking: What if I give too much away? What if no one buys the program after reading it? I was scared the book might become the death sentence for our business.
As I wrote, I kept adding more. Chapter after chapter. There was one section where I basically explained how to invent your own vaginal moves—a literal blueprint for creative control and pleasure mastery. I almost cut it. I kept hovering over the delete key, thinking, No one will buy the course if they have this.
But right before the deadline I had set for myself, I said, “Screw it.” I added it all in.
And to this day, the book has become one of our biggest marketing channels. It’s brought in thousands of new students who read it, love it, and still want more. Turns out? Giving away your secrets isn’t bad for business—it builds trust, credibility, and desire.
I learned that the more generous you are with your value, the more people want to come along for the ride.
