When I was 12 I got bit by a deer tick. My mom and I went to the doctor to make sure I did not have Lyme disease. At that time the doctor said I did not have Lyme disease. As I had no rash that developed. I moved on with my life as a normal 12-year-old would and continued to play basketball. However, shortly after this, I developed severe chronic pain that would best be described as a stabbing sensation in my calf muscle. Eventually, the pain got so bad that I could not even run and could barely walk. I would often cry in pain when having to move my calves when doing daily tasks or walking. My mom and I went to countless doctors all of which performed examinations unable to diagnose what was occurring in my calves as the X-rays showed no fractures or muscle tears. Read more>>
