Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Doneilea Williams. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Doneilea, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?

I’ve learned from professionals, but I’m mostly self taught through trial and error. I would definitely have preferred to be more experienced with setting boundaries on a professional level. I would say that professionalism, editing, and the ability to manage multiple projects  at once are definitely essential skills for succeeding in this field. I would say lack of resources was the most major obstacle I faced along the way to learning and gaining more experience.

Doneilea, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Well, I initially got into the film industry by networking through ride sharing opportunities. I became influenced to start an independent film company while doing background work at Tyler Perry Studios. I took my passion and craft a step further by taking classes to further my acting skills, although, I fall more on the self taught side of learning with cameras and overall behind the scenes work. Today, I offer streaming content, a clothing line, art line, printing services, and legal aid. I try to connect the “missing piece” for my clients innovatively. I am proud of the man I am becoming. I believe I have a better understanding of my purpose to inspire people in my own creative way. I would like future inspirers to know we will go the extra mile to solve creative gaps and achieve their creative goals.

NFTs are the future. It is a great way to permanently put your artwork down in history. In fact, Arts Acrylics Studios offers NFTs for our artwork and more to come.

My father, Joseph Williams is one of the primary reasons that I’ve grown further in the industry as a business partner as well as a mentor. If it was not for my father’s wisdom and support, I wouldn’t have become the man I am today.
