Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Gabriel LLaurado. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Gabriel, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I believe success is really all about your mindset. When you keep a positive attitude, you see every challenge as a chance to learn and grow. It means having the confidence to keep going, even when things get tough, and celebrating the small wins along the way. For me, a positive outlook turns setbacks into setups for comebacks and helps create an environment where both you and the people around you can thrive.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hey there, I’m Gabriel LLaurado, co-founder and CMO at Meat N’ Bone. My journey is a bit unconventional—I come from an engineering and computer science background, which taught me to think logically and solve problems creatively. Over time, I realized that I could apply these skills to something I’m truly passionate about: food.
At Meat N’ Bone, our mission is simple. We’re here to offer top-notch, responsibly sourced proteins, but more importantly, we’re committed to building trust and educating our customers about what they’re eating. I believe that when you understand the journey of your food—from its sourcing to the final product—it creates a deeper connection and appreciation.
We leverage our technical background to bring transparency and innovation into everything we do. Whether it’s using smart technology to ensure quality or creating educational content that demystifies the protein world, our goal is to empower our customers to make informed choices.
I’m most proud of the community we’re building—a space where trust and education are at the heart of every interaction. For anyone new to Meat N’ Bone, know that we’re not just selling products; we’re sharing a story, a passion, and a commitment to excellence in every bite.
Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?
We literally started our business with less than 15K and a lot of enthusiasm!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
In December 2024 our main facility had a fire… It was a day when everything seemed to go wrong right in the middle of our busy holiday season. A fire broke out unexpectedly at one of our key facilities, and in that moment, we were truly tested.
When it happened, we quickly shifted into problem-solving mode. Instead of panicking, our team rallied together—an amazing display of resilience and unity. We managed to secure what we could, assess the damage, and get a recovery plan in place almost immediately. It wasn’t just about saving the day; it was about learning from every step of the crisis and emerging even stronger.
We turned a potentially disastrous situation into a catalyst for rethinking our processes and deepening our commitment to our company. It’s a story I share often because it perfectly captures how adversity can be transformed into opportunity—and that’s something I’m incredibly proud of.
