We were lucky to catch up with Jonathan Alonso recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jonathan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What was the most important lesson/experience you had in a job that has helped you as a business owner?
I have always been in sales, so early on i developed the skills needed to always be a top performer in the companies i worked for.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Ever since i was young I’ve had a passion for vehicles, i have always dreamt of working in some way in the car industry modifying them. My wife and i really enjoy being part of the car community and when we first got our 4runner we wanted to customize it with some stickers. We purchased our first plotter about 8 years ago and started selling small custom decals. As time passed clients started asking for larger and more complex decals and eventually getting asked if we did vehicle wraps. This was the perfect way to get into the vehicle customization industry, so we started learning the craft of vehicle wraps on our own vehicles and on friends that trusted us. As time passed our skill grew and i saw a gap in the industry of bringing great customer service and a high quality service together at a competitive price. We have now wrapped everything from huge trailers, boats, motorcycles, all types of vehicles, fridges, helmets, laptops literally everything. We are always ready for the next challenge and we are not afraid to tackle new projects that pushes us to keep learning and improving. With us at GGD WRAPS our main priority is to surpass our clients expectations.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
When we first started with GGD WRAPS our main income came from a completely different field. We own a second company called The Cleaning Army which focuses on maintaining short term rental properties like Airbnbs. I also worked in sales at an investment company doing owner financing on properties. This really allowed us to fund the opening of our dream business of GGD WRAPS. My wife and i love what we do and there is never a day where we feel obligated to go to work.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building a following on social media was never really my intention, it kinda just happened. I started my page to show friends and family our family trips. I would share everything from buying our 4runner to going on camping trips, modifying it to our needs, to my kids soccer journey. I also included something personal to us, every September i turned my account into a childhood cancer awareness account sharing information about childhood cancer since my son has battled it twice in his short 16 years. Currently battling it now. So i think me posting real life events with some cool family trips really showed that we were genuine and not trying to show something unreal. We were like everyone else and always enjoyed meeting new people on our camping trips.
