I manage my own, but my clients’ pages get my A-game. My account is more of a ‘do as I say, not as I do’ situation. I treat my social media like a science lab. I test, tweak, and sometimes blow things up—so my clients only get the strategies that actually work (without the explosions).
After spending years testing strategies, cracking algorithms, and perfecting engagement hacks on my own platforms, I realized something—if I could grow my own brand successfully, I could do the same for others. That’s exactly why I launched my own social media management company, helping businesses cut through the noise and turn followers into customers.
When I first started Boss Up and Build, I wasn’t just looking for another business venture—I was stepping into my purpose. Social media marketing isn’t just something I do; it’s something I live and breathe. I’ve always been passionate about storytelling, branding, and helping businesses grow. But my journey into entrepreneurship wasn’t just a strategic move—it was a necessity. Especially after the pandemic.
After gradating college with a Marketing Degree and landing my dream job as a Social Media Coordinator, life took an unexpected turn. COVID-19 hit, my grandmother passed away, and my mother suffered a stroke.** In that moment, I knew I needed to pivot—not just for myself, but for the people and businesses that needed my help. That’s when Boss Up And Build was born-a hub for small and large businesses to connect with me for social media management, digital marketing strategies, and free resources designed to help them grow online.
Over the past 13 years, I’ve worked with over 300 businesses—from home decor brands and beauty companies to architectural firms, therapists, and educators. I don’t just “manage” social media—I become the voice of each bran*, crafting authentic content that connects with their audience. Whether it’s through **done-for-you content marketing, influencer partnerships, email marketing, or paid promotions**, I ensure that every brand I work with has a strategy that drives real engagement, leads, and sales.
I didn’t just fall into this industry—I built my way into it with hard work, experience, and a genuine passion for helping businesses succeed. I started my career working for brands like Morgan Stanley, Redbarn Pet Products, and Bay Cities Packaging, gaining valuable insights into corporate marketing strategies.
But something was missing.
I saw firsthand how small business owners struggled to access the same marketing tools and resources as large corporations. That’s when I made the bold decision to step away from climbing the corporate ladder and dedicate my skills to helping small business owners thrive on social media.
For the past few years, I’ve been able to help nearly 300 minority-owned businesses grow their online presence, build brand credibility, and increase their revenue through tailored social media strategies. Life is a highway, and the path isn’t always clear, comfortable, or predictable. I’ve faced my share of obstacles, but each challenge has shaped my resilience, ambition, and ability to adapt—qualities that not only help me grow daily but also allow me to be a valuable resource for my clients. I know what it’s like to be in high-stress situations where my expertise was questioned, where doubt and impostor syndrome crept in. It happens to the best of us. One thing that has always guided me, both personally and professionally, is listening to my heart. I choose to work with people I genuinely connect with, take on opportunities that align with my values, and stay true to myself in an industry that’s always evolving.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part of being a social media strategist is seeing business owners transform—not just their brands, but their confidence and their lives.
When I first start working with clients, many of them feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or even discouraged by social media. They know they need it to grow their business, but they either don’t have the time, the strategy, or the confidence to show up consistently.
