We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Quiana A. Jackson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Quiana A. , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
The biggest risk I ever took was when God told me to quit my job and step into full-time podcasting. At the time, I had worked in the medical field for 14 years. It was a steady job, provided security for my family, and made sense to everyone around me. But deep in my spirit, I knew God was calling me to something greater.
I’ll never forget the moment—it was terrifying and exciting all at once. I kept thinking about my kids, my responsibilities, and how I was going to make it work. But I couldn’t shake the feeling that God was saying, “Trust Me.” So, I took the leap. I left the comfort of my job and poured my energy into Queued4Christ, the podcast I had started years earlier as a side project. Suddenly, what had been just a passion became my mission.
But that wasn’t the only risk I took. Around the same time, God led me to move me and my kids out of our comfort zone. We left the safety net of being surrounded by family and stepped into a new chapter in an unfamiliar place. It was scary—leaving behind the people who had been my support system felt like too much at times. But again, I felt God saying, “I’ve got you.”
Looking back now, I can see how God used both of these risks to grow my faith and show me what happens when you step out on His word. It wasn’t easy—there were moments of doubt, financial strain, and loneliness. But through it all, He provided. The podcast has grown into something beyond what I imagined, and the move stretched me and my kids in ways that made us stronger.
These risks reminded me that stepping out in faith doesn’t mean you won’t feel fear—it means trusting God more than your fears. And every time I look back, I’m reminded that obedience always leads to His blessings.
So, what’s the risk God is calling you to take? Trust Him. You’ll never regret it.
Quiana A. , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Quiana Arline Jackson, and I’m the creator and host of the podcast Queued4Christ. I’ve been hosting the podcast for over three years now, and it’s become a platform where faith, resilience, and purpose come together to inspire others. The name “Queued” isn’t just a catchy title—it’s an acronym that stands for: Quickened (Taking action with a sense of urgency), United (Surrounding yourself with the right people to achieve your goals), Educated (Equipping yourself with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed), Understanding (Gaining clarity about your purpose and challenges), Excited (Staying passionate and motivated), Determined (Remaining committed, no matter the obstacles). This framework reflects my mission to help others align their lives with God’s purpose and move intentionally toward their next level.
My journey into this space was anything but conventional. After working in the medical field for 14 years and serving faithfully in my church, God called me to take a leap of faith. He told me to leave my stable job and step into full-time podcasting. It was one of the riskiest decisions I’ve ever made, but also one of the most rewarding. Since then, Queued4Christ has grown into more than a podcast—it’s a movement.
In addition to the podcast, I’m proud to have authored my first book, Why Not Me: Blueprint From Brokenness to Breakthrough. This project is deeply personal, sharing my story of overcoming life’s challenges, including divorce and the journey of being a single mom. Writing this book was a labor of love, and seeing it come to life as an Amazon bestseller has been one of my proudest accomplishments.
Through my podcast, book, and other initiatives, I help people discover how to turn their pain into purpose. I strive to equip and empower my audience with the tools and faith they need to overcome obstacles and step boldly into their God-given destiny.
What sets my brand apart is the focus on intentionality. I remind my listeners and readers that being “Queued” means being ready, positioned, and aligned for what’s next. Whether through episodes of the podcast, events like the Books of the Bible Book Club, or speaking engagements, my goal is to inspire others to trust God’s process and believe that breakthroughs are possible.
I want my audience to know that this isn’t just a platform—it’s a testament to what God can do when you surrender to His plan. If you’re looking for inspiration, encouragement, and practical wisdom rooted in faith, Queued4Christ is here for you. Let’s walk this journey together!
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building my audience on social media has been a journey of faith, strategy, and consistency. When I first started Queued4Christ, my podcast, I didn’t have a large following. I knew that if I wanted to grow my platform and reach the people God had called me to impact, I had to put in the work. I started by showing up consistently—posting valuable, faith-driven content that aligned with my message.
It wasn’t always easy. There were days when I felt like no one was listening or engaging, but I kept going. I reminded myself that the one person who needed to hear my message was worth it. I used my social media platforms to share my podcast episodes, behind-the-scenes moments, and encouraging posts that resonated with my audience. I also made it a point to interact with my followers, responding to comments and messages to build genuine connections.
When I launched my book, Why Not Me: Blueprint From Brokenness to Breakthrough, I used social media to share snippets of my story, testimonials from readers, and live events to engage my audience. Staying consistent allowed me to build trust, and over time, my audience grew.
My advice for those just starting to build their social media presence is simple:
*Be consistent – Show up regularly. Your audience needs to see that you’re committed to providing value. Even if you start small, consistency builds trust and credibility.
*Be authentic – People connect with realness. Share your story, your struggles, and your victories. It’s your unique journey that will set you apart.
*Provide value – Whether it’s inspiration, education, or entertainment, always ask yourself how your content is serving your audience.
*Engage with your audience – Reply to comments, ask questions, and create a sense of community. Building an audience is more about relationships than numbers.
*Stay patient and focused – Growth doesn’t happen overnight. Stay faithful to your purpose and trust the process.
Remember, building an audience is about impact, not just influence. Whether you’re reaching 10 people or 10,000, your voice matters. Stay consistent, stay authentic, and trust that God will use your platform to make a difference.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One of the most defining moments of resilience in my life is the story I share in my book, Why Not Me: Blueprint From Brokenness to Breakthrough. It was a time when I faced what felt like an impossible storm—navigating the pain of divorce, the challenges of being a single mom to four children, and the weight of figuring out how to rebuild my life.
I vividly remember a moment when everything felt like it was crumbling around me. My finances were strained, my confidence was shattered, and I couldn’t see a way forward. On top of that, I was battling feelings of rejection and inadequacy, wondering how I could possibly rise above the brokenness.
But in that season, I made a choice. Instead of allowing the pain to define me, I leaned into God like never before. I clung to His promises, even when I didn’t feel strong enough to believe them. I began journaling my prayers, pouring out my heart to Him, and asking for guidance. Slowly but surely, I realized that my setbacks weren’t the end of my story—they were the foundation for my breakthrough.
That resilience led me to discover my purpose. I started the Queued4Christ podcast as a way to share my journey and encourage others who were walking through their own storms. I wanted to show them that brokenness isn’t the end—it’s often where God begins to do His greatest work.
Writing my book was another act of resilience. Revisiting those painful moments wasn’t easy, but I knew the power of my testimony could help someone else find hope. Chapter by chapter, I shared how I overcame obstacles like heartbreak, fear, and doubt, and how I learned to trust God for the blueprint to rebuild my life.
Another story from the book that stands out is that as a child, I experienced the trauma of molestation—something that shattered my sense of safety and left me carrying shame, confusion, and pain for years. Growing up as one of 13 children, I didn’t want to burden anyone with what I was going through, so I kept it to myself. But that silence only deepened the wounds.
As I grew older, I found myself struggling to trust others and to fully embrace my worth. I turned to church and my faith for solace, but even then, I often questioned why God allowed me to go through such pain. It wasn’t until I began to confront the trauma head-on, through prayer, therapy, and self-reflection, that I started to reclaim my identity and recognize the resilience God had placed within me.
Today, I’m living proof that resilience, coupled with faith, can transform your life. I’ve seen how God uses the most difficult seasons to birth something beautiful. My journey hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been purposeful.
For anyone reading this, I want you to know: resilience isn’t about never falling—it’s about getting back up, trusting God, and believing that your story is far from over.
