We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Angeleta Phipps-Harrison a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Angeleta , thanks for joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

I think staying focus and driven is what it takes to be successful. You have to continue to find different ways to promote your business. You can’t be afraid to promote and talk to people, networking is a huge part of being successful as people can’t support your brand if they don’t know that you exist. Making sure you have the right people around you is another key to being successful as surrounding yourself with people that are just as passionate about growth opportunities, networking, promotion, is extremely important.

I got into this business because I have always had a passion for healthy skin, we use dermalogica products products for our skin care treatment, we provide different skin care options for acne, dry skin, oily skin, anti aging, and dermatitis prone skin, we ensure that we put a treatment plan in place to address all concerns that our clients may have to get them on a healthy skin care regimen, what sets us apart from others is we go above and beyond to provide a 5 star Caviar experience as ensuring that the customers are happy with their service is important to us. I am most proud of the the finished product seeing the look of satisfaction on our client’s face, our services not only promote a healthy skin but we also promote healthy lifestyle and ensure that we work to build confidence!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I think what helped build our reputation within our market is always being relatable. We offer something for everyone. My partner and I always leave potential clients with something to remember us by, for instance we are the Venus and Serena of skin meaning we are the best at what we do!

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?

I put together the initial capital needed to start my business by working 3 jobs, I had to get to a point where I was separating my needs from my wants and saving all of my money to go towards my investments.
