We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Margo Gladys. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Margo below.
Margo, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
My defining moment has a deep backstory. At 20, I had a serious accident that led to long-term health issues, including a compromised immune system and chronic pain. This significantly affected my quality of life, and when Western medicine couldn’t provide solutions, I turned to wellness and integrative health. That shift transformed my health and my life, deepening my appreciation for the power of well-being and inspiring me to pursue education in coaching, mind-body practices, and Eastern medicine.
As I got older, I noticed a direct correlation between my health and my productivity at work. A Type-A workaholic, I always juggled a full-time job with side gigs. Since 2013, I’ve been in the wellness field—coaching, teaching, and leading classes in addition to my full time career. But despite my knowledge, I hit burnout three times—in 2015, 2020, and 2023—each time worse than before. I kept pushing through until I simply couldn’t anymore. That’s when I made the decision to fully commit to helping others succeed without burning out.
Working for years in research and healthcare administration in NYC, I witnessed firsthand the toll that stress, overwork, and unhealthy habits take on people. I listened to colleagues share their struggles with staying at the top of their game. I actively joined wellness and engagement committees at work, determined to make a difference. But it was my experience working in healthcare during COVID that was truly eye-opening. I saw how chronic stress and burnout impacted not only health but also morale, performance, and overall well-being.
That was the turning point. I realized that peak performance isn’t just about working harder—it’s about working smarter, with sustainable energy and resilience. That’s why I fully committed to the world of performance and wellness, inspiring others to take care of themselves so they can perform at their best—without burning out.

Margo, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Margo Gladys, a Performance and Wellness Coach and Consultant specializing in stress management, burnout recovery, and optimizing energy and health for peak performance. My passion lies in helping high-achievers and professionals reclaim their energy, resilience, and well-being so they can thrive under pressure and perform at their best—without sacrificing their health.
My journey into this field was deeply personal. At 20, a serious accident left me with chronic health issues, including a compromised immune system and persistent pain. When Western medicine couldn’t provide lasting solutions, I turned to wellness and integrative health, exploring everything from nutrition and mindfulness to qigong and breathwork. This shift not only transformed my health but also ignited my passion for holistic well-being, leading me to formal education in coaching, mind-body practices, and Eastern medicine.
I am a certified Qigong, meditation, and yoga instructor, a breathwork facilitator, and a certified health coach. I also hold a Master of Science in Health and Human Performance. My diverse training allows me to bring a unique, science-backed, and holistic approach to stress mastery, performance optimization, and overall well-being.
For over a decade, I balanced a demanding career in research and healthcare administration in NYC while building my expertise in wellness. During this time, I witnessed firsthand the toll that chronic stress, overwork, and poor self-care took on professionals—impacting not just their health but also their performance, focus, and overall fulfillment. I experienced burnout multiple times myself before fully committing to helping others prevent and recover from it.
In 2024, I founded Pro Well Hub dedicated to empowering individuals and teams through coaching programs, corporate wellness workshops, and training sessions. My approach is science-backed yet deeply practical, blending modern performance strategies with ancient wisdom from Eastern medicine, mindfulness, and breathwork. I focus on real-world, actionable solutions—helping my clients move from exhaustion and overwhelm to clarity, resilience, and peak productivity.
What sets me apart is my unique integration of mind-body techniques with high-performance strategies. I don’t just teach stress management—I guide my clients in rewiring their relationship with stress, making it a tool for growth rather than a barrier to success. My background in both corporate environments and holistic health allows me to bridge the gap between performance demands and sustainable well-being.
I’m most proud of the transformations I’ve facilitated—seeing clients regain their energy, reclaim their confidence, and thrive in both their professional and personal lives. My mission is to redefine what peak performance truly means—not just achieving more, but doing so with vitality, purpose, and balance.
I believe that the best performance starts with our best self, and I’m here to help make that a reality

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One of the most defining moments of my journey—and a true test of my resilience—was navigating burnout multiple times while balancing a demanding career in healthcare and research administration in NYC, alongside my growing work in wellness.
But my resilience was tested long before that. In 2006, I came to NYC alone with nothing, chasing opportunities but quickly realizing how tough it would be. English was my second language, and adapting to a fast-paced, competitive city was overwhelming. I faced countless roadblocks, rejections, and moments of self-doubt. Coming from Eastern Europe, I had grown up with a more reserved, cautious, and sometimes negative mindset, which made it even harder to put myself out there. But I knew that if I wanted to make it in NYC, I had to shift not just my actions, but my entire mindset. Over time, I learned to step out of my comfort zone, build confidence, and embrace a more growth-oriented perspective—less fear, more possibility. That transformation was just the beginning of my journey into personal development and resilience.
I’ve always been a high-achiever, juggling full-time work with side gigs, certifications, and constant learning. But my body had different plans. After a serious accident at 20, I was left with chronic health issues, including a compromised immune system and persistent pain. I powered through, but over the years, the relentless pace and stress took a toll. By 2015, I hit my first major burnout. I ignored the warning signs and kept pushing forward. By 2020, I hit burnout again—this time worse, compounded by the intensity of working in healthcare during COVID. And in 2023, after years of helping others with stress mastery and wellness, I found myself completely depleted once more. That was my wake-up call.
Resilience, I realized, isn’t just about pushing through—it’s about adapting, learning, and making sustainable changes. Each burnout forced me to reevaluate my approach. I applied everything I had learned—not just qigong, breathwork, and mindfulness, but also my deep understanding of nutrition to support my body at a foundational level. I also discovered the power of real rest—not just sleep, but true restorative recovery through nervous system regulation and intentional breaks. Just as importantly, I worked on cultivating a growth mindset and a positive mindset, shifting my perspective from simply surviving to truly thriving.
This experience shaped my mission. I knew I wasn’t alone in this struggle—so many high-performing professionals were experiencing the same cycle of stress, exhaustion, and burnout. That’s why I founded Pro Well Hub dedicated to help others master stress, optimize energy, and achieve peak performance without sacrificing their health.
My resilience isn’t just about overcoming challenges—it’s about transforming them into a powerful purpose. Today, I use my personal journey to inspire and empower others, proving that sustainable success is possible when we prioritize well-being.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Managing a team and maintaining high morale comes down to one fundamental principle: truly listening to your people.
As someone who has worked both as a team member and as a people leader, I’ve seen firsthand the mistakes that undermine morale. Too often, leaders ask for feedback but fail to implement real change—or worse, create an environment where employees fear retaliation for speaking up. When people feel unheard, undervalued, or powerless, they disengage, leading to quiet quitting or outright resignation. A strong leader doesn’t just ask for feedback—they act on it. Regular check-ins, open dialogue, and genuine responsiveness go a long way in keeping teams engaged and motivated.
Another crucial factor in morale is recognizing and rewarding good work. Simple, meaningful acknowledgment fosters motivation far more than forced team-building activities. In fact, many leaders assume that mandatory bonding experiences will build camaraderie, but in reality, employees often crave more autonomy and better work-life balance instead. True workplace friendships will form naturally—leaders don’t need to force them. What they do need to do is create a work environment that allows people to thrive without excessive stress and burnout.
When it comes to wellness in the workplace, many companies miss the mark. Offering yoga, meditation, or wellness programs is great only if employees have the time and space to actually participate. I’ve worked in organizations that provided wellness offerings, but the workload was so overwhelming that no one could attend. True workplace wellness isn’t just about providing resources—it’s about creating a culture that allows employees to use them without guilt or added stress.
Finally, transparency is key. Employees may sometimes request changes that aren’t feasible due to organizational limitations, budgets, or policies. Instead of just saying “no,” leaders should engage in honest conversations, explaining the reasoning behind decisions. This builds trust and helps employees feel included in the bigger picture, even when changes aren’t possible.
My passion lies in empowering both teams and leaders to create a work environment that fosters productivity, engagement, and well-being. When leaders prioritize listening, recognizing effort, respecting work-life balance, and fostering real wellness, they don’t just boost morale—they create a thriving, high-performing team.
