Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Flo Oliveira. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Flo , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
A defining moment in my career as a sex coach and educator came when I realized that sharing my personal experiences could create real impact. I started talking about non-monogamy and my own journey of sexuality discovery online, initially keeping it separate from my real life. But as my platform grew, something unexpected happened, people I knew started reaching out.
At first, it was subtle. Friends and acquaintances would pull me aside at track meets, asking quiet but eager questions about relationships, desire, and non-monogamy. They weren’t just curious, they were searching for guidance, reassurance, and someone who understood. That was when I realized this work wasn’t just about me; it was about something bigger.
That shifted from sharing my story privately to realizing how many people needed safe, honest conversations changed everything. It pushed me to step fully into coaching and education, (after taking classes and a certification program) to embrace the visibility I had once avoided, and to build Lifewflo into a platform where people could find the support they were craving. I realized that when you create space for truth,, authenticity, and love, people will show up for it. And sometimes, the work finds you before you even know you’re ready for it.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Flo Oliveira, the creator of Lifewflo, a platform dedicated to sex education, coaching, and therapy, with a focus on non-monogamy, kink, and sexuality exploration. My work helps people navigate their desires, relationships, and identities without shame—whether through one-on-one coaching, therapy, workshops, or the educational content I share online. I believe everyone deserves access to informed, judgment-free conversations about pleasure, boundaries, and connection, and my goal is to provide that space.
I got into this work by first sharing my own experiences of non-monogamy and sexuality discovery. As my platform grew, so did the curiosity. Overtime I realized just how many people lacked access to open, shame-free discussions about sex and relationships. That realization pushed me to step into coaching and education more intentionally, and eventually, I pursued therapy as well to deepen the support I could offer.
Through Lifewflo, I provide coaching and educational content designed to help people feel more confident in their desires and relationship structures. I also create free and paid resources, including courses, guides, and my upcoming journal prompt book, to help people reflect on their sexuality and relationships in a structured way. I specialize in working with individuals and couples exploring non-monogamy, navigating kink dynamics, or seeking a deeper understanding of their needs and boundaries.
What sets me apart is my ability to blend lived experience with professional expertise, making complex topics feel accessible and relatable. I’m most proud of the impact my work has had—helping people unlearn shame, communicate their needs, and build relationships that feel authentic to them.
For potential clients and followers, I want them to know that my work is about creating choice—the choice to explore, to ask questions, to define relationships on your own terms. Whether you’re new to these conversations or deeply immersed in them, there’s a place for everyone in the Lifewflo community.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start?
Funding Lifewflo has been entirely a solo effort. I run and manage everything myself, and all the money to keep it going comes from my personal finances. When I first started, there was no outside funding, no investors, and no team, just me, my knowledge, and my commitment to creating accessible, shame-free education around sex, kink, and non-monogamy.
To sustain the platform, I sell resources and do guest appearances in classes, which help fund the page and allow me to continue creating new content, guides, and educational materials. Every course, journal, or workshop I offer goes directly back into making Lifewflo a space where people can learn, grow, and access support. While it is challenging to run everything solo, it also means I have complete control over my work, ensuring it stays true to my values and the people I serve.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Resilience has been at the core of my journey, especially in the early days of Lifewflo. When I started the page, I was balancing multiple major commitments I was an undergraduate at UC Davis, competing on a D1 track team, and attending a certification program through the Sexual Health Alliance, all while navigating the challenges of COVID quarantine.
As if that wasn’t enough, towards the end of quarantine, I also took on graduate school applications to become a sex therapist. That added another layer of stress, especially since I had to balance the conflicting schedules of UC Davis’ quarter system and San Diego State Universities semester system, which started before I had even graduated. I was juggling final exams, track meets, and the beginning of graduate coursework all at once, with little room to breathe.
What kept me going was knowing that this work mattered. Even when I was overwhelmed, I saw the impacted people reaching out, saying my content made them feel less alone, that they finally had words for their experiences. That was the fuel that kept me moving forward, proving that resilience isn’t just about enduring challenges, but about finding purpose within them.
