Hi Melanie , thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

Our Mission at Hidden Company is to bring beautiful , environmentally friendly , vegan products to people in need of self care at an affordable cost. During my self care journey I found it expensive to go out on self dates , to buy the newest trend in beauty care and if we did find a cheaper alternative it was normally full of harmful chemicals. Self care is so important to your healing journey and we did not want women missing out or skipping this very important part of their journeys. Over time we have evolved to serving both masculine and feminine energies as well as the family dynamics as well.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Hidden Company was created at that crucial time right before the world went into chaos from COVID. Created with my daughter, Amaya, we wanted to have that spa like feeling but without the higher prices and something we could do at home. We started off with just bath bombs, lip glosses and creating items like bath bars that could hold multiple items during your bath time. We have evolved over time as our journey in life and Spiritually grew to include luxury and intentionally made products like candles , Aroma Sprays , Car Charms , Sugar Scrubs , Soaps , Wax Melts along with keeping our lip glosses. We have also expanded into creating your own unique candle designs which are always fun during the holidays. Most of our items are refillable so you can burn that beautiful candle and not have it as decoration.

Along with the products we make to sell we also offer workshops on different ways to utilize tools like herbal blends , incense , bath salts , aroma sprays and mirrors during your journey into healing or self care maintenance. We offer these classes to individuals , groups and even families during our Power of Three classes. P3 classes are geared to bring the family unit together while creating fun hands on learning that help teach our kids the tools we’re learning and bridging the gap in the child / parent dynamic.

We are also proud to be able to have items in store at Enchanted Trading Company in Seminole Fl in their CommUNITY creative space they hold for local businesses to showcase our items. Along with that we also participate in markets with Blue Raven Collection from time to time as well.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.

I am blessed that my cofounder / business partner is my daughter. She is an amazing person who’s energy brings forth so many ideas. She really reaches for the stars and helps elevated each level of our business. She is more behind the scenes with our social media content, she does all of our marketing work, pictures , she researches different camera angels and video effects to bring our products to life.

She also helps come up with amazing new scents and does the research in what is popular and where our offerings can be most impactful. She is starting to come to the forefront now and is actually hosting our next upcoming Incense and Tea Party workshops.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Hidden Company has to really thank our community for helping us create a name within our city and beyond. The Sisterhood I started building with so many beautiful women has helped make so many connections as many of them are also creatives working markets and hosting workshops and retreats. As we learned each others magic , we started collaborating, co hosting workshops together and having fun vending at the same markets. We often get referrals from our Sisters whether it be an individual customer , a new market venue or opportunities to host workshops or retreats.

We really started getting traction when we were vending with Tracy Penoke and Blue Raven Collection. Tracy really puts her all into advertising her creatives and highlighting us prior to markets. Her marketing and exposure really helped us gain attention within the community and having people seek us out for our products. We also have to thank Andrea from Enchanted Trading Company who gave us the opportunity to hold space within her resale store in her CommUNITY section. This helped us reach a goal of being in store and reaching a different clientele as well.
