We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Juliana Vasquez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Juliana below.
Alright, Juliana thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
A defining moment in my career came unexpectedly, and it happened during a casual conversation that turned into something much more profound. At the time, I was already working with highly ambitious individuals, helping them overcome mental blocks and achieve their personal and professional goals. I had honed a process that worked for clients across various fields—business, health, and personal development. But what I hadn’t fully recognized yet was how that same process could be applied to professional athletes.
I was in the midst of exploring whether it would be a good fit to work with a professional athlete. There was no pressure, no structured coaching session—just a few casual discussions about mindset, performance, and overcoming mental barriers. This athlete, though extremely talented, was struggling with some internal blocks that were holding him back.
During our informal conversations, we worked through those blocks and reframed how he viewed his challenges. It wasn’t an elaborate session; rather, it was a straightforward exchange that helped him mentally break through. Afterward, he went on to break a world record in his sport—a monumental achievement. What struck me was that he credited his success to our discussions, telling me that without them, he wouldn’t have been able to perform at that level.
It was in that moment that everything clicked. I realized that the same mindset tools and strategies I was using to help ambitious professionals were just as powerful in the world of sports. I had already been working with highly driven individuals, but working with professional athletes made me see a niche I hadn’t fully recognized before. One of my first clients ever was actually an athlete, and it all suddenly made sense. The drive, the discipline, the ambition—it was the same in both worlds.
That experience was a turning point in my career. I began to attract more athletes and high-performance individuals, and I realized that my process was key to their success. It wasn’t about talent alone—it was about mindset and the ability to break through mental barriers. This was the foundation of my coaching, and it’s what has allowed me to help others unlock their full potential, no matter the field they’re in.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Juliana Vasquez, a High Performance Mindset Coach, and I help highly ambitious people remove unconscious blocks so they can create rapid transformation and growth in their lives, health, and careers. My coaching journey began after I experienced deep burnout from the industry I worked in for 15 years. During this time, I also lost 100 pounds, but one day, while looking in the mirror, I realized that despite the physical transformation, I still saw myself as I had before the weight loss. This was a pivotal moment for me—it led me to understand how deeply everything is connected to mindset. No matter how much I had physically changed, my mental perception hadn’t shifted until I consciously worked on it.
It was through this process of personal realization that I recognized how powerful mindset is in transforming not just our bodies, but our lives, careers, and overall well-being. This experience inspired me to pursue coaching, and I’m now certified as a professional coach and hold certifications from the University of Santa Monica in Spiritual Psychology. These credentials have provided me with the tools and deeper understanding to help others achieve their own breakthroughs.
In my practice, I offer a 12-week program designed to help clients identify and eliminate their mental blocks, and I also offer the “Oil Change” session, a one-time deep dive for past clients who want to re-energize and refocus. I also share insights, tools, and resources with my community through my Blindspots newsletter, where I aim to inspire clients to explore and breakthrough in their lives, health, and careers.
What sets me apart is my holistic approach that connects mind, body, and spirit. I work closely with each client to understand their unique challenges and tailor the coaching experience to meet their specific needs. My method is centered around creating self-awareness and helping clients identify the blind spots in their lives that may be preventing them from reaching their full potential.
I believe that my ability to walk alongside my clients, helping them see and break through their self-imposed limitations, is what truly makes the difference. Many of my clients come to me with specific goals—whether that’s breaking a world record, reaching a business milestone, or leveling up in their personal lives—and I work closely with them to unlock their hidden potential. I’m not just giving advice; I’m providing the space for them to tap into their own strength and break through barriers.
One of the things I’m most proud of is witnessing my clients achieve remarkable milestones. Over the course of our work together, I’ve seen athletes become Olympians, individuals become mothers, entrepreneurs open new companies, restructure their businesses, or even start from scratch. What I love most is seeing them break through their potential and accomplish the goals we set at the beginning of our time together. These transformations not only validate the work I do, but also demonstrate the incredible power of mindset when it’s aligned with action and purpose.
For potential clients or followers, I want you to know that I’m here to help you succeed—not just by telling you what to do, but by empowering you to unlock the answers that are already within you. I believe you already have everything you need to achieve your dreams. My role is to help you break free from the mental barriers that hold you back so you can step into your fullest potential.
Are you courageous enough to do the real work and make long-lasting changes?
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was the idea that I wasn’t a “business person” or that I didn’t know how to run a business. Coming from 15 years in the corporate world, I carried with me the belief that running a company required complex processes, large teams, and big budgets. But over time, I’ve realized that it doesn’t take a huge amount of people or resources to run a successful, financially stable business. It’s more about focus, intention, and creating a structure that works for your specific needs.
Additionally, technology was always evolving, and I’ve learned that the tools available today are vastly different from what I had when I first started, and even from when I worked as a teenager. The business world and technology move forward, and so do we. The key is embracing those changes and adapting to them, rather than holding onto outdated beliefs and processes.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
If there’s one thing I’m absolutely certain about in my life as an entrepreneur, it’s that I was born to be a coach. The moment I did my first certification and began getting clients, I felt an inner knowing that this was it for me. With the mentorship of my first coaches, Jan & Monika Zands, and my unwavering faith in the process, I knew that this was my calling. Even though the title of “coach” is relatively new to me, I’ve always been a coach in essence, guiding, mentoring, and helping others achieve their potential throughout my entire professional career. Looking back, I would choose this path over and over again. Now, the title just helps others understand what I do, but I’ve always felt that I was meant for this work.
