Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jorge Vega. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jorge, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with education – we’d love to hear your thoughts about how we can better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career

If I can change something in the educational system, it would be teaching the kids more about themselves their personality and mastering their emotions. from there, the next step would be mindset, coaching, teaching them that thoughts become things, and giving them the tools that they need to become the architect of their life.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am a licensed Masterbarber. I begin cutting hair in eighth grade had my first job out of high school worked various jobs in between but barbering became my passion and it also became my profession. The reason I became a barber was not only for the money that I could make in controlling my time before the impact that I could have in the lives of the people that I serve, I became a motivational speaker several years back after being told by several people that I have to gift of gab I was trained by Dr. Delatorro McNeil, who is a Hall of Fame motivational speaker and I went to Christ seminar and I received the training that I need so that way I can operate at a high-level when it comes to public speaking . After that, I then got certified as a life coach to the national Association of Christian counselors so that way I can have the tools and the systems in place in order to help people achieve the goals that they want and that they desire in life. I am now the co-creator of a program called the mindset makeover becoming a program where we teach kids these tools and we give them the things that they need in order to become successful in life . I am also a part of a community called the Awakened Events community where we strive to alter the educational system in such a way that the kids would have the information and tools that they need in order to truly become successful

How’d you meet your business partner?

I am currently the cofounder of a program called the Mindset Makover becoming a pro with a woman by the name Flory Hiatrides. I met Flory two years ago at a Legacy wealth builders conference that I attended for my birthday, which is being hosted by a good friend by the name of Jameka Jefferies. I was actually stepping out to use the restroom and then she stopped me and asked me my name and who I was and begin to ask me some stuff about my background in my business background and then when I told you that I was a barber, you know, she actually asked to use my story in the message that she was presented for the day as a keynote speaker, which was talking about a person who was selling a beauty salon, and at that time I was actually in the process of considering selling my business and the night before I was praying for answers and when Flory got up there on that stage and spoke, it was exactly what I needed to hear and gave me immediate actionable steps that I could take in order to solve the problem that I was facing inside of my business and the reason why I was considering selling. After that, she invited me to come to our house and said that she wanted to work with me and then from there, I completed all of the courses within her program from the extreme communications to the missing piece centerpiece and masterpiece curriculum, which is impacted my life and my family‘s life tremendously. And now we are setting out together collectively to take this information to young people all across the country

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

One of the stories that I can tell that would illustrate my resilience is after going through divorce. It was a very dark time in my life, and I know it was going through a transition mentally emotionally and spiritually, and it was through that that I set out and begin on a journey of personal growth and discovery, and as a result of that, I took a life coach certification course, and I begin to become my first client and apply the information that I was learning to myself, and seeing that the results were extremely transformative and you know so instead of quitting and being down on myself in the mist of that situation, I begin to pick up my bootstraps and invest in information and put myself in circles and environments that we’re gonna help me grow that we’re gonna help me heal and that we’re gonna help me prosper in my gifting as a speaker as a coach and also as a Barber as a business owner in my local community
