We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Baby 5 a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Baby, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

Taking a risk is not always about who finished first but it’s about who can keep running still able to keep goin during the risk

My name is baby 5 and when it’s comes to music it’s like it heals me it’s flows through me . I take time out my day to write atleast a hook to a new song every 30sec gotta stay down gotta have courage Neva get to cocky keep everything every song authentic express yourself create a wave find your sound

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to learn every one can’t go to the top with you
Every one doesn’t get to experience same horizon as you
Some people can bring yu down just by one mess up depending on the situation
You gotta be mentally prepared
Some days with music you gonna have your bad days and have ur good days but it’s gonna b on you to strive better than yesterday

How did you build your audience on social media?

When I started rapping I use to send my music to my friends n girls and have them repost on social media and I used to ride the train around Atlanta an airdrop my music to people and just staying down an being consistent wit my craft working every day to prefect my craft
