Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mili June. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Mili, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Taking risks….I always tell myself, there’s nothing to lose and everything to win. If something doesn’t work out, at least I’ve tried and I’ll have learned something along the way.
One of the biggest risks I’ve ever taken was stepping away from a stable career as a primary school teacher to fully pursue my passion for acting. Growing up in a small village in Switzerland, I was raised with a deep appreciation for stability, which led me to study education and become a teacher. While I truly love teaching, acting has always been my greatest passion. No matter what, I kept finding ways to be on stage or in front of the camera. Eventually, I asked myself: If not now, then when?
What made this decision really scary was that I don’t have any financial support from a background that could catch me if things went wrong. Quitting my job as a primary school teacher meant standing completely on my own two feet, with no safety net. But at the same time, that only pushed me further. I knew that if I wanted this, I had to make it work.
So, I applied to acting schools in Los Angeles. When I got accepted into the Stella Adler Art of Acting Studio with a scholarship, I knew I had to take the leap. Moving to LA was a big change – new city, new people, and no guarantees. But that’s also what made it exciting.
So far, it’s been one of the best decisions of my life.
Every challenge has taught me something, and every step has brought me closer to where I want to be. Taking risks has always been part of who I am, and this one proved that sometimes, you just have to go for it.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Mili June, an actor originally from a small village in Switzerland, now studying at the Stella Adler Art of Acting Studio in Los Angeles. My journey into acting started when I was a child, spending hours creating characters and imagining different lives. I was always fascinated by stories and the emotions behind them. I wanted to experience everything, to understand different perspectives, and to step into worlds beyond my own.
Growing up in a small village, I had a childhood filled with imagination. My friends and I would play in the forests, pretending to be different people, living in different times. It felt magical. We could be anyone we wanted. When I discovered acting, I realized that acting could bring that same magic to life, but in a way that could touch and inspire others.
For me, acting is about more than just performing. It’s a way to show the truth about the world and remind people of our shared humanity. My passion lies in storytelling that sparks empathy and raises awareness for important issues. I want to bring these stories to life, to make people feel, think, and see the world differently.
My journey hasn’t been easy, especially because I do not have financial support or a safety net in my career. But I believe in perseverance, in taking risks, and in keeping that inner child alive – the one who believes in magic, miracles, and the best version of yourself.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn was being a people pleaser. For my entire childhood and teenage years, I wanted everyone to like me. I thought I had to be perfect, to please everyone, and I nearly broke under that pressure. But the truth is, it’s impossible. There will always be people who don’t like you, who don’t connect with your energy or your work and that’s okay.
What truly matters is being honest with yourself, staying true to who you are, and learning to like yourself first. If you do that, it no longer matters who approves of you. I had to learn this the hard way, and honestly, I’m still working on it. Especially as an actor, where rejection is part of daily life and you’re constantly being judged, it’s crucial not to take it personally. You can’t live trying to fit into everyone’s expectations.
One realization I had was that when you are unapologetically yourself, people will love you even more. Maybe not all people but that’s a good thing. Not everyone who crosses your path is meant for you, and trying to be everything for everyone will only drain you. The day I truly understood that, I felt an enormous weight lift off my shoulders.
When you fully embrace who you are, you naturally attract everything you need. The vibration of being who you are and doing what you love is magnetic. The right people, opportunities, and experiences will align with that energy. Life flows differently when you stop forcing and start allowing. When you stop chasing and start attracting.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me the most rewarding part of being an artist is the ability to inspire people. I get to do what I love, what truly brings me joy, and that in itself is a gift. Creating has always been a deep passion of mine. It’s where I feel the most alive. But the best part is when someone tells me that my work has moved them, made them feel something, or even inspired them in their own journey. That connection, that impact, is what makes it all worth it.
