Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brianne Lesman. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Brianne, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?

My mom has always encouraged me to follow my passion, every step of the way she has given me confidence in my art and helped me find avenues to sell my artwork or get inspired. From my first art show in high school where she secretly bought one of my paintings, I was so proud to sell an item, to current day where she shows up at almost everyone of my shows to lend her support. I would have never of thought it was possible to make art a career if it weren’t for her building me up!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My name is BriAnne and I am an artist- my main line of business is murals- the bigger the better! However I have learned that I need to be diverse with my craft, so I also do acrylic paintings on canvas, I design clothing with my artwork, teach art classes “Paint and sip” style, artistic embroidery, chalkboard signage and I create unique cards for every occasion. I am inspired by everything northwest, but I do branch out depending on what the client is needing.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

I used to only do canvas work and it was hard for me to survive as an artist, once I started adding murals to the mix in 2020 I have been able to make a livable career out of my passion. As an artist, and a person, I’ve never been one to enjoy monotony, so it’s nice to be able to diversify my art business world.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

I am trying to get my artwork put to further stretches, trying to branch out of my localized area. I love the fact that murals can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of economical or social status.
