Riley, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. The first dollar your business earns is always special and we’d love to hear how your brand made its first dollar of revenue.

I DJed a basement party with a fake DJ Controller and a pre-made hour long EDM playlist. It was super corny but it was a start! The vision of what the night would be played through my head over and over, and when it actually came it was super underwhelming! But developing the mind’s eye is something that started then and continues to benefit me today! I think we made like $50 off of cover charges!

Riley, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

When I was 16, I went to Panama City Beach for Spring Break. We were good kids who didn’t get into too much mischief. But one night, as we walked the beach thinking “what in the world do we want to do,” We felt the ground vibrate and knew there was something going on down the beach. So we walked towards the sound and stumbled across a huge festival on the beach. The pulsating bass, the flashing lights, and the people having a great time spoke to the inner part of my being! From that moment on I dedicated myself to learning how to DJ, learning how to make music, and we were all speed ahead from there!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Years and years of meeting different vendors, doing a good job, and having brides / business owners testify to the job we do! It wasn’t rocket science building a business – it almost grew in spite of me! Until I decided to put the pedal to the metal in 2024!

Any advice for managing a team?

I think one of the only things that may excite me more than DJing is seeing my team win. One of my favorite things is paying my guys. DJing is fun, but helping my team create money and help provide for their family and flourish is a passion of mine. I tell my guys (and I mean it) that I think I want them to succeed more than they do! And that has helped create glue within the team up to this point! All of our financial data is open for them to view… maybe that will bite me in the butt, but complete transparency also helps – You win if I win and vise versa.
