Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Aft3rs. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
AFT3RS, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I knew I wanted to be a DJ during one of the hardest times in my life. House music became my escape. It wasn’t just about the sound but the journey it takes you on. The lyrics, the rhythm, and the energy gave me a sense of freedom, helped me release stress, and changed the way I saw things. Through music, I learned to let go of what I couldn’t control and find peace within myself. That moment made me realize I wanted to share that feeling with others. I wanted people to experience the same release and joy that music gave me. That’s why my song selection means so much to me; it’s how I create those moments for others.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is AFT3RS, originally from the Bahamas and now based in Denver. My sound fuses tech house, bass house, reggaeton, and soca, often remixing Caribbean tracks to create a unique, high-energy vibe. Every track I play is intentional, designed to build energy and keep the crowd locked into the moment.
DJing found me during a tough time in my life when music became my escape. House music gave me a sense of freedom, helping me see things from a new perspective and release the weight I was carrying. That journey shaped my approach to DJing, and it continues to inspire me. I want every set to be more than just music. It’s a journey, a space where people can release, connect, and lose themselves in the experience of the night, even if it is just for a moment, a chance of escaping life’s toughest challenges; relaxing the mind.
Whether I’m playing an intimate underground party or lighting up a festival stage, my goal is the same: to create unforgettable moments where the music takes over and nothing else matters. AFT3RS is not just about the sound or the hot remixes. It’s about the connection, the energy, and the feeling that lingers long after the night ends. It’s in those moments when people realize it’s more than just a fleeting rush. It’s about creating lifelong memories.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building my audience on social media took time, but consistency was definitely the biggest factor. At first, I focused on sharing what was true to me which was showing my music, my journey, and my life. I posted behind-the-scenes clips, moments that reflected my Bahamian roots, and any real thing I felt like sharing, whether it was a gig or just something I was working on. Over time, people started to connect with that authenticity.
It wasn’t always about trying to grow quickly. I wasn’t worried about the numbers right away. The focus was always on keeping a steady flow of content and engaging with people. Even if I only had a few comments or likes on a post, I made sure to respond and keep that connection alive. The consistency in posting and interacting is what built a real, loyal audience over time.
My biggest piece of advice for anyone starting out is this: stay consistent. It’s easy to get discouraged if things don’t take off right away, but if you keep showing up, creating content, and engaging with your audience, growth will follow.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My creative journey is all about remixing reggae and calypso because these genres aren’t really represented in the tech house and house music scene. I want to bring the Caribbean into that world and share those sounds with a wider audience. Reggae and calypso have such deep cultural roots, and I feel it’s time to mix that energy with the vibe of house music. It inspired my goal of bringing Caribbean energy into a space where it’s been missing, and making sure that influence is felt on the dance floor.
