We were lucky to catch up with Phillip Frazier recently and have shared our conversation below.
Phillip , appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
For me learning Media Production & Acting is 1st a lot of hands on training, 2nd trial & error, 3rd watching a lot of videos online and lastly picking up a few books on my craft. I am currently in Acting Classes which teaches you the business as well as the craft and both of those elements are very important to understand.
The younger Me would have wanted to speed up the process but the older Me is enjoying the journey and soaking up as much information as possible.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I was born in Harlem & raised in the Bronx as well as Newport News Virginia and I gravitated to Hip-Hop in the mid 80’s, so watching Yo MTV Raps, Video Music Box, & Rap City growing up was a heavy influence on me as being a creative. I was a rap artist, I did a little modeling, I did background work on a movie called “Preaching To The Choir” that aired on BET.
I was just a sponge of watching music videos, movies and keeping up with fashion, all these elements makes up my style and how I deliver my art. In 2023 I revamped my media Company [CISE Entertainment] we create original content & short films for online streaming platforms, Rhymes And Politic [Talk Show] was the first program produced and we’re currently producing a few short films to be released in 2025.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to Educate, Entertain & Inspire the masses through Dope stories that are relatable or can spark an emotion.
These were the things that impacted me from watching films like [Coming To America, Boomerang, Love Jones, Belly, Love & basketball, Scarface etc.] or watching Dope artists like [Rakim, Nas, Jay-z, Mobb Deep, Wu-Tang Clan etc.]
I’m an extension of these elements of culture.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Being recognized is my reward, because you’re putting all this work in and not sure if people notice or watching,
I got to tell myself at times you never know who is watching, so keep putting in the work!.
