can you fix any grammatical errors in this: Success is a varying definition, and is different for everyone. As an entrepreneur I have worn many hats over the year, but did not hit my stride until around 2012. It was my second job out of college, working in the Bay Area for a factoring company (financing) small business invoices. My uncle pushed me to reverse engineer a marketing group’s success of pushing millions of viewers through their website, and arbitraging advertising with video content. Building that business is what really sparked my wants to be successful. Doing the hard things that no one else wants to do; burning the midnight oil, running on minimal sleep, and pushing forward to make success happen.
Moving to real estate, while managing that business, and returning to Pennsylvania was the next step in my career. It presented its own sets of challenges; making connections, networking, and doing what other agents are afraid to do. Being a real estate agent, isn’t just flipping a light switch to success. It is an all encompassing career that teaches you consistency hard work, and perseverance.
After some time, of staying mediocre, I decided to take some training classes, one of them being Ninja Selling, and that was my next a-ha moment. What are most of the top producing agents doing that I am not? I started showing up to the office every day, geo-farming developments on a regular basis, making a point to reach out to clients more often, and finally, the evolution of video. From there, the social media climate changed, and I found myself head first into reels, video, a podcast, and doing whatever necessary to get the tech guy side of me to do his best in the business.

Here’s your text with grammatical fixes and improved readability:
Success has a varying definition and is different for everyone. As an entrepreneur, I have worn many hats over the years, but I did not hit my stride until around 2012. It was my second job out of college—working in the Bay Area for a factoring company that financed small business invoices. My uncle pushed me to reverse-engineer a marketing group’s success in driving millions of viewers to their website and arbitraging advertising with video content. Building that business is what truly sparked my desire to be successful—doing the hard things that no one else wants to do: burning the midnight oil, running on minimal sleep, and pushing forward to make success happen.
Transitioning to real estate while managing that business and returning to Pennsylvania was the next step in my career. It presented its own set of challenges—making connections, networking, and doing what other agents were afraid to do. Being a real estate agent isn’t as simple as flipping a light switch to success. It is an all-encompassing career that demands consistency, hard work, and perseverance.
After some time of staying mediocre, I decided to take training classes—one of them being Ninja Selling—and that became my next a-ha moment. What were the top-producing agents doing that I wasn’t? I started showing up to the office every day, geo-farming developments regularly, making a point to reach out to clients more often, and finally embracing the evolution of video. From there, the social media landscape changed, and I found myself diving headfirst into reels, video content, a podcast, and doing whatever was necessary to get the tech-savvy side of me to perform at his best in the business.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Mike Gordon, Jr., and I am a second-generation realtor proudly serving Lancaster, Berks, and the surrounding areas in Pennsylvania. While I initially avoided the business after college, I eventually realized it was exactly where I needed to be. Our team of twelve at Berkshire Hathaway Homesale Realty has consistently ranked among the top in production.
As a second-generation realtor, my dad, Michael Gordon, has been in the business for nearly thirty-eight years. I am also fortunate to have my stepmom and stepsister deeply involved in the industry as well. While it might seem like working with family wouldn’t be an ideal strategy, we function better than most teams.
My philosophy is simple: work hard and play hard. This occupation isn’t for the faint of heart, and without a solid work schedule, it can wear people down. My belief is that if you do the hard things long enough, they eventually become easy.
Outside of work, I am an avid musician and a member of The Mike Gordon Band. We typically perform at smaller venues, staying true to our acoustic/Americana style. Additionally, I am actively involved in my HOA board at the Bavarian-themed Stoudtburg Village in Adamstown, PA, where I serve as president. In October, we hosted our first StoudtoberFest, and I am eagerly anticipating our Barks & Brews event in May, which will support local pet rescues.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
You don’t know everything—and that’s okay. There are countless books, seminars, and classes available for nearly anything you want to learn. When I hit my freshman slump in real estate, I knew it was time to reinvent myself. Learning from others is an invaluable strategy for leveling up and taking your game to the next level.
Don’t be afraid to fail. You only truly fail when you give up—so never give up. Reinvent the wheel if you have to, ask questions, and surround yourself with people who are going places.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Video has been a key to my success—posting relevant content consistently is crucial. Stand out by doing what makes you different, showcasing your personality, and avoiding a robotic approach. Be sure to mix personal and work life in your content because “Just Sold” posts get old fast.
