Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Justina Grosso. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Justina thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I still remember the first time I realized beauty was more than just a hobby for me—it was an art form, a way to tell a story without words. At 10 years old, I sat in front of my mirror with black liquid eyeliner, trying to recreate Lady Gaga’s bold looks, mesmerized by how makeup could transform not just a face, but a feeling. Growing up, I spent hours watching beauty creators on YouTube, but I never thought it could be a career—until two years ago, when I finally posted my first video. The moment I saw people resonating with my work, asking for more, and feeling inspired by my creativity, I knew this was what I was meant to do. That single decision turned my passion into a profession, and I haven’t looked back since.

Justina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Justina, a beauty content creator on TikTok with a passion for self-expression and helping others feel confident in their own skin. I’ve always loved beauty, but my journey into content creation started in 2022 when I decided to share my own experiences and product recommendations. Since then, I’ve posted consistently every day, creating hundreds of videos focused on skincare and makeup, with an emphasis on acne-safe products for those with sensitive skin—just like me. What sets my content apart is my dedication to providing honest, research-backed recommendations that actually work. I know firsthand how frustrating it can be to struggle with skin concerns, so I aim to take the guesswork out of finding effective products. I’m incredibly proud of the community I’ve built and the fact that my content has helped so many people feel better about their skin. My goal is to continue educating and inspiring my audience while making skincare and beauty more approachable for everyone.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building my audience on social media has been all about consistency and honesty. When I started in 2022, I made sure to post content every day, even when the engagement was slow at first. I knew that building a genuine connection with my audience would take time. What really helped me grow was being transparent and authentic in my content—whether it was sharing my personal experiences or giving unfiltered reviews. For anyone just starting, my biggest advice is to be consistent and stay true to who you are. Keep showing up, provide value, and let your authenticity shine through. Over time, your audience will recognize that and connect with you.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
One thing I think non-creatives might struggle to understand is the constant balancing act between passion and the pressure to perform. As a creative, there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work that doesn’t always show up on camera—like brainstorming, experimenting with new ideas, and dealing with the uncertainty that comes with putting your work out there for others to judge. It’s easy to assume that creativity is just about inspiration, but it’s also about consistency, persistence, and resilience. There are days when things don’t go as planned or when you doubt your work, but pushing through those moments is what helps you grow. It’s not always glamorous, but it’s the reality of turning a passion into a career. I think people might not realize how much of the process is about commitment and facing challenges head-on, even when things feel uncertain.
