As of right now, I do manage my own social media platforms. I had hired a company to help me manage my social media’s but the price outweighed the benefit. While I did have increased followers, there was low interaction and it led to very little sales. After trying them for a year, I decided to take it over. I have since researched hashtags and trending words to help keep my social media following, but am struggling to keep growing. I currently manage my own social media because I want to maintain a direct connection with my audience and ensure my brand’s voice stays authentic. Being hands-on has allowed me to understand what resonates with my customers and quickly adapt to trends.

I manage my social media, although I’m not consistent with it. When I started my business almost 14 years ago, Facebook was the main platform for social media. Since then Instagram and Pinterest have played a bigger role. Most of my clients find me on Google when searching for a maternity or newborn photographer. There was a time when I was ranking higher for those searches when I didn’t use social media at all.
